Millionaires' choice for president: Hillary
CNBC ^ | December 10, 2014 | Robert Frank

Posted on 12/10/2014 12:59:46 PM PST by Bettyprob

Respondents got to choose among nine potential candidates in the survey: Clinton; Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.); Vice President Joe Biden; Governor Chris Christie (R-N.J.); Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas); Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.); former Governor Jeb Bush (R-Fla.); Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Governor Scott Walker (R-Wis.) Clinton gets the support of 38 percent of women millionaires and 27 percent of male millionaires. Among male millionaires of both parties, Hillary is the top choice, with 27 percent.

Millionaires are sharply divided on their choice for the next President of the U.S., according to the second CNBC Millionaire Survey released today. Yet if a vote were held today, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would be the overall favorite among millionaire voters.

The survey polled 500 people with investable assets of $1 million or more, which represents the top 8 percent of American households. According to the survey—a poll evenly split between Democrats, Republicans and Independents—Hillary Clinton is the top choice for 31 percent of millionaires, including 23 percent of Independent millionaires and 5 percent of Republican millionaires.

Clinton gets the support of 38 percent of women millionaires and 27 percent of male millionaires. Among male millionaires of both parties, Hillary is the top choice, with 27 percent.

Jeb Bush comes in second among millionaires, with 18 percent. But among Republican millionaires, the former Republican Florida governor is far and away the top choice, with 36 percent support. The runner-up among GOP millionaires is Governor Christie, with 19 percent, followed by Governor Walker, with 18 percent.

Any taxpayer supporting ANY Democrat for any office is the same as a chicken voting for Col. Saunders IMHO. I don’t get it.

Since Hillary is the clear front-runner among Rats and the GOP field is wide open, it’s not surprising that she gets a plurality. It does not mean she will get a plurality of the millionaire vote in the general election.

If this poll is correct, it means American millionaires want a Bush vs. Clinton race in 2016. Kind of makes one happy that they represent such a tiny percentage of the voting public.

I disagree.

The Democrat party nowadays consists of the Entitlement Army to provide the votes and Crony Capitalists to provide the dough.

Many of the wealthy truly feel they are smarter and better people, and feel the need to “control” or at least “advise” the unwashed masses via big government.

The roster of mega-rich Democrat supporters is a long one. That’s why the MSM is so hot on the plan to trash the “Koch Brothers” to distract voters from ther real situation.

Stupid millionaires. Traditionally “the rich” want the status quo because that is how they got rich. Not now. Now people have money from before the USA went socialist. Jeb and Hillary will not help them. Jeb won’t even go as far to the “right” as his brother. Hillary was as far between the legs of Alinsky as Barack.

If the mega-rich (or anyone else for that matter) don’t think they pay enough in taxes, then they should vote Democrat.

3 Dems and 5 Repubs in the list. Thus the right of centers polled had a larger list to choose from, pulling each individual numbers down.

If you poll who wants a Repub or Dem, majority will vote for Repub.

Under republicans, wealthy people stay wealthy but they hear about it from the rats.

Under democrats, wealthy people stay wealthy and the rats stay silent.

Nothing magical.

Correction: Under democrats, the rich get richer faster. No mystery, just that the 'rats are easier for Big Money to buy.
