The person who reported the “hands up” claim should be arrested for making a false statment, intending to cause a riot.
That should be a WHOLE NEW classification of crime. Hey,... maybe we can fianlly arrest Obama for somethign too.

He didn't have a weapon, he had a toy. What was illegal in that? And as video of the incident have shown, within two or three seconds of arriving the kid was dead so why didn't the officer even take the time assess the situation?

I wouldn’t count on that. There is a reason those CA cops disabled the audio pickups of their cameras, and it wasn’t to avoid praise for their professional conduct.

While I may agree with you in principal and do not have a clue as to your background or training etc, I would like to see your reaction - EVEN as a (supposedly) well trained Police Officer OFFICIALLY responding to a complaint of a person waving a gun around and you pull up on the scene and the first thing you spot is a PERSON (doesn’t matter if he is White, Black, Yellow etc) and is standing on his own two feet - he turns towards
you, has something, reaches for what is the outline of a gun and attempts to draw it.
That scenario should be called the person committed suicide.
Now, your reasoning has a slight better chance of working if the Officer had just happened on the scene and ran into the same situation...BUT he was responding to a dispatchers call which means a concerned citizen called it in.
Lets say it was a real pistol and the kid managed to get it out and spray a couple of shots striking a bystander. What response do you suppose would be given to the headline:
“3 Cops stand by as teen with gun shoots innocent bystander”
” Such crimes themselves would’ve gotten
anyone shot in a more decent civilized
morally straight age.”
Maybe so, but don’t think for a moment that said society would go for cops doing it in the streets.
