And do you notice that big libs like Brad Pitt and George Clooney love to star in movies about WWII, but except for that one where Clooney played a thief, they don’t find any heroic roles they want to play in the subsequent wars?
I think they like that we won it decisively but are pacifist losers at heart.

I hated We Three Kings. It made Americans look like dirtbags that come out looking like heroes by mistake.
Kelly’s Heroes did the same thing, but the enemy was Nazis so there was no question about stealing fro them. In WTK, you weren’t sure they were stealing from Saddam, or from Iraqis that had stuff stolen by Saddam. Plus,the one redneck was just so over the top ooffensive that I couldn’t watch it all at one time, only finishing it because I was at a friend’s place and it was on the tv.

I’ll keep my eye out for it when it comes on premium cable. I had to pass on the one where Pitt and Clooney played art thieves stealing back Nazi stolen property.
If you haven’t seen it, Gary Cooper’s Task Force was excellent, it had real air force footage. Saw it July 4th at a locally sponsored conservative radio host’s event.
