I wonder how much her total yearly pension will be?
200,000? More?

She’ll be replaced by a Democrat.
And there is no shortage of aspirants to her seat.

Kamala Harris has the inside track.

RE: Shell be replaced by a Democrat.
Yep, I’d say the majority of California is a LOST CAUSE.
Republicans ran Carly Fiorina against Boxer in 2010 with high hopes that the former HP exec would put a dent in Boxers support among women.
Boxer wasnt terribly popular at the time among Californians, with various polls putting her in the mid-40s before the election. She still won by 10 points in a Republican wave midterm election.

It'll go to Michelle Obama.

So, she’s establishing residency in California now?
I wonder which city and which suburb...

Given the nature of CA politics, unless something dramatic or unpredictable should occur, there is no reason to believe that Boxer would be replaced by anyone with a different outlook.

The state is totally lost right now....
I'd be surprised if it turns around during my lifetime.

If they replaced her with this, the intellectual average of the Senate would increas a few points:

I’d heard she was running vs Mark Kirk, but a Republican won Gov in Illinois so she might figure it’s not a slam dunk anymore.
Obviously in California she’d be a lock.

And there is no shortage of aspirants to her seat. Wendy Davis would be an obvious one if she relo'd from TX.
Sandy Fluke (although she failed to win for the state office).

There are plenty of California Democrats who are dumber than and more obnoxious than Barbara Boxer. Expect worse to come.

I do think Rep. Nancy Pelosi may be approaching retirement, too.
