Tried to watch The Giver, but could not get to the meat of the movie without being bored to death.

I just joined to some of the discussion about “The Giver,” then WJR went into a “tech update” commercial and I missed some of it. However, the bit I cought reminded me of the “soma” drug that was rationed out in the utopian society created in “The Brave New World.”
