Forgetting a certain rule of thumb: “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”
I don't know what to say, other than yes this is fight WE must keep fighting, because liberal loony ideas don't belong in NC.
Plus I take solace that (I believe) in 2014 we as conservatives (especially socially conservative Republicans), mixed with free market (and more choice/life improvement programs like school vouchers, charter schools) WILL be able to win over a portion of the African American (and some Hispanic) voters that ~should~ be in our coalition by personal values alone, but who ‘culturally’ vote “D” out of habit.

Wilmington, my friend, right inside the city limit in southern/mid New Hanover County.
I grew up in southern Durham (the area which is now called “Southpoint”), but back in the 80s-mid/late 90’s when I was there it was semi-rural.
Hadn’t lived in the state for a good dozen years or so until I moved back last year.
Cool. I like Wilmington a lot.
Also, Southpointe Mall is a big client of mine...
I’ve never met a transplant that wasn’t a flaming liberal.
