Mayor William Wilhelm Jr (aka Bill de Blasio) is probably the most dishonest man in politics today. And that’s saying something.
I can’t think of any other politician who got elected largely by exploiting his own family. Or a family as screwed up as Bill de Blasio’s, whose wife was a lesbian and whose daughter was a junkie.
De Blasio/Wilhelm used the Garner verdict to drag out his family again. Particularly his spoiled brat of a son, Dante.
Chirlane and I have had to talk to Dante for years about the dangers that he may face. A good young man, law-abiding young man who would never think to do anything wrong. And yet, because of a history that still hangs over us, the dangers he may face, we’ve had to literally train him—as families have all over this city for decades—in how to take special care in any encounter he has with the police officers who are there to protect him…
So I’ve had to worry over the years. Chirlane’s had to worry. Is Dante safe each night? There are so many families in this city who feel that each and every night. Is my child safe? And not just from some of the painful realities—crime and violence in some of our neighborhoods—but is safe from the very people they want to have faith in as their protectors.
Is there anyone stupid enough to believe this? (Besides Bill de Blasio voters, obviously.)
Dante is currently the most famous teenager in the city who isn’t in entertainment.
Before Dante was even a teenager, Bill de Blasio had slimed his way into being the Public Advocate which made him one of the biggest elected officials in the city.
Dante has always lived in a reality in which his father was a bigshot and whose name alone would open a lot of doors. If you’re an ordinary teen who is stopped by the cops, you stay quiet. If you’re Dante de Blasio, you tell them that my father is the Public Advocate/Mayor and he can have your badge.
Race isn’t the determining factor here. Political connections are. And Dante de Blasio was and is connected. He had nothing to worry about from the NYPD even if he walked into Central Park with a bazooka. Anyone with common sense knows that.
Anyone too stupid to know that, probably voted for Bill de Blasio.
New Yorkers elected this hump, now they can live with the consequences.
This will not end well.

It sounds like the Mayor would much prefer to be in a country like Venezuela or Cuba. What is he still doing in his horrible America and in New york no less?
Police ought to refuse to provide security for this jerk. Let the anti-gun mayor take care of his own protection.

Everybody hates Bill de Blasio.
The Radio City Rockettes are told to imagine they are kicking Bill de Blasio’s ass when they are high kicking. That’s why they’re all smiling.
“We hate Bill de Blasio! What kind of man makes up his own name and puts a ‘de’ in it? We all want to kick his ass.”
The police should all call in sick for a couple days and let the mayor keep order in the city. Then we will see who is in danger...

Most of NYC is a crap hole of mentally ill Democrats.
My wife has a friend in a mixed-race marriage. She was saying how she posted almost the exact same thing a week ago about the conversations she has with her black sons.
I’m guessing that being good kids, straight A’s in a private school they are probably not in high risk areas or behaviour.
OTOH, a neighbor (white) has a teen son that gets pulled over ALL the time (like once a day) while driving his souped-up Mustang. Never a ticket - just checking him out.
His grandma borrowed it for a week and drove it all over. Never got pulled over once.
I have no doubts that the cops have certain profiles that they use to keep an eye on someone. Probably being a teen boy is one of the big ones.
