Law Profs: Legal To Include More Immigrant Parents In Exec Action

Four legal scholars told the president in a letter that he can legally use his executive authority to extend deportation deferrals to the parents of young immigrants, even if their children are not citizens or legal residents.

In the Nov. 3 letter obtained by NBC News, the scholars said that "there is no legal requirement that the executive branch limit deferred action or any other exercise of prosecutorial discretion to individuals whose dependents are lawfully present in the United States."

In fact, the scholars wrote, the law does not require they have any dependents at all.

The lawyers said they were not taking a position on who should have been included in the president's executive action. But they insisted that the president was not limited in using prosecutorial discretion by whether an immigrant's children are lawful residents or citizens. Such decisions "are policy choices, not legal constraints," the lawyers said.

The legal scholars who signed the letter were Shoba Sivaprasad Wadhia, Pennsylvania State Dickinson School of Law; Stephen Legomsky, Washington University School of Law; Hiroshi Motomura, University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and Michael Olivas, University of Houston Law Center.

They described themselves as law professors with particular expertise in the interaction of executive action and immigration law.

So thousands and thousands of parents ship their unaccompanied “children” across the border that Obama made sure was open for them.

Then King Obama says we are cruelly keeping the illegal children and teir illegal parents separated so he unilaterally and illegally grants adult illegals de facto amnesty.

Amnesty for grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, best friends, next door neighbors, mistresses, the milk man, meter readers, all muslims, the nations of Kenya, Iran and Indonesia?

After destroying the best health care system in the world, Obama is determined to grant wide amnesty to foreigners living illegally in U.S. If Obama wants to make the U.S. into another banana republic, it seems he is well underway to reaching his goal.

The Republicans must make it perfectly clear that Obama has declared a merciless war against the American workers and the middle class of America. There are 92 million of able Americans out of the work force because they cannot find employment and Obama wants to legalize and give work permits to over 11 million illegal aliens allowing them to bring here the rest of their families. In other words, another 25 or 30 million that either will compete with Americans and legal immigrants searching for scarce jobs or are going to be added to welfare, bankrupting Medicaid and the food stamp system as well as ruining even more the quality of the public schools with the massive infuse of hundreds of thousands of children without speaking English to already overburdened schools systems.

Blacks are going to be the main collateral victims of Obama's anti-Black amnesty. Black Americans are already suffering higher unemployment since Obama took power. Obama’s new class of protected immigrants will take over their jobs and Blacks will be forced to share their welfare checks and food stamps with them

Obama Was Against Illegal Immigration Before He Was For it

Obama had super majority in both cameras during the first two years of his presidency, but he didn’t give the amnesty during his first 100 days as he promised to those living illegally in the country… Furthermore, as senator, Obama opposed George W Bush when the republicans tried to give a legal status to those living illegally in U.S.
