The Real Racist Conspiracy In Ferguson

After a grand jury in St. Louis, Missouri, voted against the indictment of Officer Darren Wilson in the killing of 18-year-old black man Michael Brown, President Obama gave a short address to the nation. In it, he said he understood why some would feel disappointed at the verdict -- an odd statement, given that all available evidence showed that Brown had robbed a convenience store, attacked Wilson in his vehicle, attempted to grab his gun and charged Wilson before Wilson shot him.

Then Obama dropped a doozy: "We need to recognize that this is not just an issue in Ferguson, this is an issue for America ... there are problems and communities of color aren't just making these problems up."

Obama did not specify what problems he wanted to discuss. Nor did he explain why Ferguson's issues were America's. But the largest lie was the notion that "communities of color" don't make problems up.

Because in Ferguson, that's precisely what a community of color did.

In the immediate aftermath of the Brown shooting, grand jury documents show, witness intimidation and lying became the order of the day. Witness after witness told police that local thugs were intimidating those who had seen the events. One witness told police, according to the St. Louis Police Investigative Report, that threats "had been made to the residents of Canfield Green Apartment Complex." This witness said that "notes had been posted on various apartment buildings threatening people not to talk to the police, and gunshots were still being fired every night."

The witness wasn't alone. Other witnesses stated that supposed witnesses were lying to the media about events, that others who had seen the events were "embellishing their stories" in order to convict Wilson. One witness stated, "You have to understand the mentality of some of these young guys they have nothing to do. When they can latch on the something they embellish it because they want something to do."

Some 16 witnesses testified that Brown's hands were up when he was shot, which was factually false according to the autopsy. Another 12 witnesses said that Wilson shot Brown from behind -- again, false according to the autopsy. One witness testified that Wilson used both a Taser and a gun -- false. Another said that Brown had kneeled before Wilson shot him. When confronted with the fact that the physical evidence made such an account impossible, the witness acknowledged he hadn't seen the event, and then asked if he could leave the grand jury because he was "uncomfortable."

In 1964, Kitty Genovese was stabbed to death outside her apartment complex in New York. The entire nation gasped in horror when it learned that supposed witnesses had not called the police.

Fifty years later, the nation completely ignores the fact that an entire community apparently lied, facilitated lying or intimidated witnesses in order to put an innocent man behind bars, because he happened to be white. At least Kitty Genovese's neighbors didn't actually murder her. Members of the Ferguson community tried to murder Darren Wilson by putting him on death row. Meanwhile, President Obama and those in the media who played up the original narrative cheered them on.

The whole Kitty Genovese meme was invented by the New York Times.

They’ve been that ghastly for longer than that.

There is no question there is a problem. Seems to me that any solution to any problem that refuses to account for all the facts will never succeed but points to the actual source of that problem. The facts that are dismissed. Hence when Giuliani points out the reason there are more cops in some places is because there is also more crime he is immediately castigated. Facts like this cannot be allowed anywhere near the table where solutions are discussed. Not even in the room, much less the table. Not even near the building. Some facts have to be relegated to wander in the wilderness where they can never be attached to anything. The knockout game. The Wichita and Knoxville murders. Whittle’s proportions of black on white vs. white on black violence. Etc.

Absolutely spot on.

There definitely is a problem in “communities of color”. They are living in poverty on the democrat plantation where welfare abounds and children have no father figure to guide them in proper civil behavior. Mothers are having multiple children by different men in order to collect welfare. Children are allowed to roam the street with gangs, thugs, and looters. They only know the street life in order to survive. Yes Obama, there is a problem and you are perpetuating it.

As a friend and shooting companion of several current and retired cops, let me spell this out in plain English:

1. Cops, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, aren't interested in doing anymore work than they have to.

2. If a cop finishes his shift without talking to a single citizen, he is paid the same amount as if he is in three deadly gunfights and two wrestling matches with people bigger than him.

THEREFORE: There is absolutely no profit in fighting or hassling with anybody unless you must for some reason.

(There will be obligatory post to this one saying, ‘oh yea, will some cop just did (insert something) to me for no reason.’ But in actuality, there always is some reason.)

Much of what goes down between cops and minorities actually follows this pattern.

- Groups of minority youths are hanging around disrupting business and causing the business owners to go broke.

- The business owners constantly call the police complaining.

- Eventually, during the pre shift meeting, the police leadership begins berating the patrols with, ‘do something to get these people to stop callings us.’

Now the stage is set.

The cops will initially ignore these request. After a few more pre shift meetings, they will be forced into doing something. Leading to the inevitable scene on CNN of’ “ we were just standing there doing nothing and suddenly these cops come by and start ordering us around like we was dogs.”

I can assure you that the average cop could be perfectly happy avoiding all of this crap entirely. It is nothing but a risk, a pain in the butt, lots of paperwork, and sometimes worse - and there is no more money in it for them. The bullsh@t that is being sprouted on TV that cops willing do this or enjoy doing this is total crap. If these people had jobs and were off the streets, the LAST people that would complain about it would be cops.

To: I cannot think of a name

I was riding a bus one night when a jaywalker, dressed in dark clothing, appeared as if out of nowhere. After the driver managed to avoid hitting him, he joked(?) that he was glad that he hadn’t hit the guy because of all the paperwork he’d have needed to do.

It’s surprising to me that no one latches on to the fact that Leslie McSpadden is 34 years old. Do the math. She was at best a junior in high school when her son was born. While teen pregnancies have supposedly been lowered, finishing high school before having children has always been a way to avoid poverty.
