Morning Plum: Jeb Bush again challenges Republicans on immigration
Washington Post ^ | December 2, 2014 | Greg Sargeant

Posted on 12/02/2014 12:18:46 PM PST by C19fan

Congressional Republicans are locked in an internal debate over a difficult dilemma: Is there any way of persuading conservatives they are fighting against Obama’s immigration tyranny with everything they’ve got, without fully using the destructive scorched earth tactics conservatives actually want them to employ against it?

This internal tactical struggle — and with it, the broader debate over immigration — are now set to spill over into the GOP presidential primary. Jeb Bush has now come out against the tactics conservatives want — which are favored by Ted Cruz.

The GOP is chasing the Speedy Gonzales vote.

With added emphasis on speedy and Jeb is leading the charge.

Republicans fight Conservatives.

It's a Dog-bite-Man story. Happens all the time.

And, if Jeb were president, one could see where his

loyalties and concerns would lie. He’s one that can be left

off of the list / need a push back to those who do not respect the law & he’s not offering that. He’s testing the water for votes, isn’t he.

"At a private luncheon Monday on Capitol Hill, former Florida governor Jeb Bush told a group of GOP officials and donors, including soon-to-be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, that the party should avoid a standoff.

Instead, Bush said in brief remarks, Republicans should pass a series of “sensible” immigration bills next year once they control both congressional chambers to underscore their commitment to governing and reforming the immigration system with their own policies."

It's an act of love, don-cha-know...

Mr. Jeb left the national stage after his pathetic capitulation in the Terri Schiavo murder.

Why does he think he has any credibility as a national figure now, and why would anyone be interested in supporting him other then his last name?

What Jeb Bush does not have the capacity to understand is that hard pressed, highly taxed law abiding Americans are not particularly anxious to reward people who have flaunted our laws and then demand to be accommodated. Nor are they fooled by political posturing, Presidents who open the borders, do not enforce existing laws and then declare that there is a good crisis that needs to be solved. They are not vindictive but they are not stupid either.

Let Jeb dig in his heels AS IF the US hasn't done enough for minorities in the US and others who enter here illegally and REMAIN, etc.

They all act AS IF there is MORE we need to do for criminals and people who refuse to assimilate.

What? Do I open my veins and let the blood out for these people? What's ENOUGH

A very large number of alleged freepers here angrily defended Jeb’s pathetic capitulation saying there was “Nothing he could have done” or told us he “had no authority to save her life”.

They will likely be happy to vote for Jeb.
