Jeb Bush admits he's 'thinking about' running for president, as he blasts President Obama's

Jeb Bush revealed that a decision on his presidential ambitions is coming 'in short order', as he spoke out to condemn President Barack Obama's recent immigration order. The former Florida governor said he will make up his mind based on whether he can 'lift people's spirits and not get sucked into the vortex', and whether 'the sacrifice for my family is tolerable'. He said: 'I'm thinking about running for president. And I'll make up my mind in short order - not that far out in the future.' 'I don't know if I'd be a good candidate or a bad one,' Bush continued. 'I kind of know how a Republican can win, whether it's me or somebody else, and it has to be much more uplifting, much more positive, much more willing to be practical...'

I hope NOT to see a Clinton / Bush election in 2016.

If there is a Hillary Clinton / Jeb Bush election, that campaign could easily devolve into a pissing contest about past presidents of the same last name, and what happened during those presidencies, yadda, yadda, yadda.

In a country of over 300 million people, it strains believability that among a handful of candidates for the highest office in the land, just happen to be from the same families as past presidents.

We will have at least a dozen or more of these skullheads running. Why? Money. They get to keep what they don’t use and that way they become multimillionaires quickly. They make me ill. This is ruining the Rep party and makes sure we lose.

Contribute to none but Cruz who at least stands up for the truth in what is left of this country.

In other words, Jeb Bush admits he's "thinking about" destroying the GOP's chances of gaining the White House in 2016.

We do indeed seem to be stuck in a rut.

It also illustrates that this country is not producing any sort of talent in terms of leadership.

Country really seems to be floundering.

Respectfully, I disagree. IMHO, it's got to be a governor, next time and only three are worthy of the effort. They are in order of priority (for me): Perry, Pence and Jindal with Perry far and away the best man for the job.

When you look at the people this country produced in the 1700s and compare them to what we are offered today, a man could weep and not be thought soft.

My prediction is that you have nothing to worry about. I think neither will run, and would not be nominated in any case.

He is free to run for President if he wants.....that is the reason for living in the United States. To do as you please. There will be at least 12 candidates running for President....the more the better.

Would he still run if he faced up to the fact that he would be overwhelmed with negative commentary on this website all day, every day?

Would Christie?

Would Romney?

If Bush is the nominee, I’m NOT voting for him, and Fauxcahontas will be the next president by default.

I live in Texas, and I can tell you from experience that Perry is not half the conservative that Cruz is. So I will respectfully disagree with your respectful disagreement.

It also illustrates that this country is not producing any sort of talent in terms of leadership.

That is because we are looking in the wrong places.

Senators are usually well known but not very accomplished.

A president with experience in running a major state is usually best.

In times of major conflict we need a war president.
Thanks to the worldwide mess that Obama will be leaving when his term is up, we will need a president who can deal with foreign policy and various conflicts around the world.
Possibly with a VP that is experienced in domestic issues.
