I read that as well. The alleged stepfather got out of jail and moved in with Mike’s mom. Some authority said Mike might be corrupted by Louis Head, the alleged step father so Mike was sent to his granny.
What I haven’t read anywhere is a word from granny or whose mother she is or what her name is. Nothing. She was the actual caretaker but no respect for grandma.
He was only a year and a half behind his grade, the valedictorian.
It's not like he was an average looking person. He was a monster in more ways than one.

I don’t know if it’s disinformation or not, but I read somewhere that rap sheet is for a different Michael Brown in a different state. Since it’s a common name, I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt at this time.
I do think our dear sweet gentle giant has a youth arrest record, and I’d be willing to bet that he beat up other kids at a minimum. I keep wondering why I haven’t heard a peep from his classmates in HS. I bet they are all scared to say anything. Snitches get stitches and all that.
Agree with you, no doubt he’s got a sheet, but we probably won’t see it unless it gets leaked, if anyone has the guts and opportunity.
I have done a bit of work trying to piece together who is whom from all the differing accounts from early on and recently. Here’s what I have sorted out, in regards to the grandma he was being raised by, and a few others.
Lesley McSpadden is Gentle Giant’s mother, and either lives with or is married to Louis Head. Some articles have said he is her boyfriend, but most call him GG’s step father which would indicate marriage.
Lesley McSpadden’s mother is Desureia Harris, and I think she must be the one who raised him, at least he was living with her during HS and over the summer before college. In an early article, she was given money by somebody to help pay for the funeral expenses. Not sure who it was who did that but it was mentioned in an article.
Caluina Brown is married to GG’s father, Michael Brown, Sr. Her mother is Pearlie Gordon, and is the woman that was selling tshirts and other things, that McSpadden (and others in her entourage) assaulted. That’s in the police report. The media referred to Gordon as GG’s grandma, so I thought at first that she was MB, Sr’s mother. However, she is not. She is the stepmother’s mother, so not a blood grandma, but maybe she was called that by other family members like GG’s younger brother.
