You folks think this is bad??
Just wait until the first union-ordered work slowdown happens.
The more people you get the more that insist the rules don’t apply to them, those people grow lines exponentially.
What seems to have occurred here is that all airlines packed the very early morning schedule to accommodate the holiday rush. Especially with thousands of amateur fliers.
TSA kept the same exact schedule for bringing in staffers. One lane opens at 4:30 am, two lanes at 5:30 and (maybe) three or four lanes at 6:30.
In the meantime the airlines are trying to push every plane on its way to the next destination, freeing up an MDW gate for the next plane to arrive.
I don't blame the airlines - I blame TSA.
Oh, and the possibility of a full body cavity search weren’t part of the fare either.
People need to just drive within the United States. The TSA has turned CONUS air travel into an experience from hell.
I drove from Atlanta to Las Vegas and back just to avoid the TSA. The result was a wonderful trip with a lot of sight-seeing and some soul searching.
Of course it’s not the airlines fault. It’s another example of public union, federal employee mediocrity. Midway is the worst, bar none the worst. The fact that they can’t adapt to accomodate people is typical.
I’ve stood in line at Midway for over one hour, when the line was like only maybe 100 feet.
#3 The Israeli’s know a UZI beats a corkscrew anytime : )
Government TSA workers, are we surprised at their ineptitude?
It would not have been the unions not scheduling enough troops at that time. The TSA management was shining again.
