If the daughters are “untouchable”, keep them out of the spotlight. The nobamas use there daughters when it is convenient. How can one not notice that the daughters have the same “I hate anything American” attitude that their affirmative-action, loser parents have?

From the expressions on their faces I can tell that they couldn’t care less about being there. My daughter gets the same “Get me out of here!” expression when taken to some events.
I can never remember their names..Now you mention it the names do sound RUSSIAN..

I have two daughters who are about the same age gap as the Presidents kids.
I don’t wish that on anyone. Those teenaged years were the worst. The rolling eyes, the pissed off looks. I’ve seen them all.
Yes, they kids should behave and they should act “Presidential.” But, I will bet their friends were upstairs, or they were being held up from going to a movie, or party, or seeing their boyfriends.
In this context, I actually feel bad for the President. Not THAT bad...but kind of a “I feel your pain” kind of way.

Apologize all you want, Ms. Lauten, but it won’t change the fact that what you said is absolutely true. Especially the part about the girls coming up short in the good role model department.
“Formal social function”? This isn’t the Thurston Howell III Spring cotillion for shit’s sake - it the President pardoning some thanksgiving turkeys. If you actually watch the whole thing and not just some clips selected for maximum bogus outrage, you’ll see the girls look and act just fine. Imagine the outrage here is they were clutching their smokes while falling down drunk or cry-babbling about or not being able to find their $300 sunglasses.
