Roseanne Barr Tweets, Deletes Post About Bill Cosby

....Roseanne Barr tweeted a photo of her face looking battered and bruised, joking that she got into a "tussle" with Bill Cosby. In reality, the actress had gotten a chemical peel. The media immediately pounced on the comedian's post, and she deleted it. Barr since regrets doing it -- not joking about Cosby but deleting her post.

Roseanne doesn't strike me as the sharpest knife in the drawer, but a joke is a joke. I don't think she was making fun of the women who accused Cosby.

She’s a talented comedian, but in today’s extremely PC atmosphere, comedy is pretty much dead.

The 60’s and 70’s into early 80’s comedians were the best. Today, they would be hounded into oblivion by the press and activists.

Once upon a time, a joke was either funny, or it fell flat, and people moved on.

Now the big questions are:

Was it offensive?
Did it offend the right people?
Did it offend the wrong people?
Should you apologize? Should you explain the joke?
Is this the end of your career?

Much this explains some of the "new, fresh" comedians who make jokes along the lines of:

I hate Republicans.
Christians are haters.
Men are stupid.

Jokes like those really bring down the house these days.
