Exactly right, and we must remember that THAT started in 2006, not 2008, when Obama and the media fooled enough people. The fooling started earlier, with daily Iraq war body counts, Bush lied, and not a peep from the Bush camp to defend themselves...

Meanwhile, the Republicans, which controlled EVERYTHING* from 2000-2006, did what exactly?

The democrats are not the only party that needs to learn the lesson their mistakes teach. For the Republicans, I hope when they start governing they try to stifle their inner RINO. A repeat of 2000-2006 will not cut it at all.

As a GREAT Southerner once said, “Stupid is what stupid does.”

*Lest we forget, the 60’s Radical Leftists have controlled the media, news organizations, arts and entertainment and higher learning the whole time Republican’s controlled the government, and before and after. This also has to be opposed. Without them, the democratic party would have gone the way of the Whigs.

To build support among their base, the de facto Democrat leader in Georgia, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, recently decided to throw his city’s fire chief under the bus for writing a book supporting traditional Christian morality. This will ensure that the Dems keep the sex-offender vote solid for the indefinite future.

All three Senators (Graham, Cornyn, and Alexander) are native Southerners who likely had ancestors who fought for the Confederacy a century and a half ago. Ted Cruz's paternal ancestors were not in the United States at the time; some of his mother's Irish ancestors, from Delaware, may have worn Union blue. Who better represents the traditional values of the South: the RINOs with deep Southern roots, or the man who was born in Alberta of Cuban and Yankee parents?

Southern Democrats have reached the point of declining returns — they can’t reap any more identity voting among minorities and yankees without sewing even more of it for Republicans among whites.

And, even the pandering to minorities is hitting a wall. Democrats offer zero — less than zero, when you think about it — to a black man with a job supporting his family. A few more Tim Scotts and we’ll have the African American Democrat vote trending down from the 90s to the 70s while the vote stays solid in the 60s and 70s. That’s unbeatable.

If Landrieu loses, the DemRats will not hold a single governorship, US Senate seat or State chamber, from the Carolinas to Texas. Lolz. Thank God for the South.

I agree with what you say but I don’t mean to imply that just because you are born and raised in the South that automatically makes you, as War Daddy said above, a proponent of Southern Culture.

Southern Culture is proudly pro-military, defending one’s honor, very pro gun ownership, deeply Christian, very pro-America, the Founding Fathers, the US Constitution and not pro-Confederacy at all, except they still honor those who fought for the cause, right or wrong.

You’ll also find very few who would want to go back to slavery and Jim Crow, but certainly do not want bureaucrats in Washington telling them how to live, and use those two issues to constantly brow-beat them into submission, centuries and decades after they have been righted.

Ted Cruz is a righteous addition to our ranks!

Agreed. In the Antebellum Era, national party politics divided both the Democrats and Whigs unto themselves on a regional basis. Funny how things don’t change.

Until the 1960’s, Democrat majorities in the South were built on aggressive exploitation of the racism of low-education/lower income whites. Then came the Democrats’ national shift into being the “black socialist” party, and their Southern white support began a steady decline.

The Democrats might have a long-term prayer in the South through a coalition of blacks and hispanics, once populations of the latter grow via Obama’s open borders (and if they avoid the logical power-struggle with blacks). But the idea that the Dems can “attract” white voters with a black socialist national platform is beyond moonshine. Interesting that it’s the best they can come up with.

They are delusional. Every candidate the Clintons campaigned lost, some spectacularly.

Georgia's Democratic chairman, DuBose Porter, defended Carter and Nunn as "world-class candidates" who can run again. He said Democrats "proved Georgia can be competitive in 2016," but he cautioned against looking for a nominee other than Clinton. "She puts us in play," he said.

When Obama referred to conservatives as "bitter clingers, holding tight to their guns and religion", he alienated the south.

What percentage of Southern rank and file union members vote Rat. Don’t confuse left wing union leadership with the members.

Excellent point about ambitious Democrats.
Not just in the South. The Democrats are going to have difficulty in attracting candidates for the US House for many years to come. An ambitious 20 or 30 something man or woman is not likely to run for Congress as a Democrat to sit
as a backbencher in a minority party for 10 or 20 years.

Hint to Democrats: You cannot be pro middle class and pro illegal alien invasion. A clue, get one.

Not directed at you but the smear neo Confederate or return to slavery is a canard used by moderate republicans against us who are full tilt culture war

It is also an arrow in the quiver of non southerners or the SPLC to denigrate us for personal reasons known only to themselves...common on FR even but less common than before

Its like have you stopped beating your wife?

They used similar tactics against us opposed to amnesty here in 2003-2006

As for Jim Crow laws...it was not only in the South and I lived in Manhattan 1980s where it was quite segregated and whites interacted with blacks less than I was used to yet those same whites who were so snooty about how open minded they were...my girlfriend was at Barnard and Columbia.....

History is simply not as neat or as easily summed up as the GOP and all talking heads like to opine. Yankees hectoring me over racial injustice is no different than a posh Whitey in Sublette Kansas ranting about those evil whites in Johannesburg

Realistic appraisals and reactions towards the proven time and again poor behaviors of any minority group are forbidden in the West today

They have found our Achilles heel and are doubling down on our comeuppance and eventual destruction as dominant world culture

And plenty in my group are collaborating

I’ll skip the truck and the boat, what I really want for my old age is ten square miles of back country with fish ponds and fields of beans and corn and watermelons, all being worked by someone else of course! I want an old fashioned cane mill pulled by a team of mules walking in a circle and an old man named Barney to mind the wood fire and cook the syrup out. I also want herds of deer, huge coveys of quail etc. and a good horse to ride and a buggy for when I feel too old for horseback. I want to be rid of about ninety percent of current technology. I could even give up the internet if I had the right place. Do you think Uncle might set me up if I plead that I am a native, African American, homosexual, transgendered, disabled illegal alien?

Some would be surprised how many white, southern, “conservatives” used to say that the government should provide “free” health care to everyone. There are millions of people who would be shocked and offended to be called a liberal but nonetheless speak in favor of communistic schemes like national health care. No doubt some of them are beginning to see that Obamacare is not going to work but I am sure that a lot of them think that it just isn’t being done the right way.

They are advocating a return to party roots by emphasizing education and public works spending, stronger voting rights laws, tighter bank regulation and labor-friendly policies such as a higher minimum wage.

Along with gun control, abortion, same-sex marriages, higher taxes, Obamacare, pro-Islam foreign policy-yes, that will sell in the South.

Oh, they get it, and they went hog wild on destroying industry in this country as soon as Carter approved the unionization of Federal and State employees. Along with the teachers, government employees and "educators" are a large enough block to replace the union employees in industry that the democrat fascists were hopping mad at for supporting Nixon.

They know exactly what they're doing, they're destroying blue collar jobs that provide a guy a wage that will allow him to raise a family without his wife working. All those wives with free time were a real problem for them when they were first trying to change government education into just another part of their media propaganda machine plus they had way too much influence on their own children.

So, "liberation" to make women free from the tyranny of nature. Free to murder their own children and to work like men have always had to. That leads to fewer women who could have more than one or at most two children.

Add to that the fact that hubby more often than not wouldn't make enough money to live comfortably unless the wife worked and you have the perfect subtle incentive system to put children in the hands of the State as soon as they're potty trained. Which is what they've wanted since the turn of the 20th Century.
