DON LEMON, CNN: First With Marc Lamont Hill, let's talk. You are in New York City. The gentleman there, he said he is up in Harlem. He's marching. He said listen, this generation, we have a voice and they don't want police brutality. He's got to get back to Staten Island. That's another issue. But we're looking, you know, at the protesters there. Is this a generational thing? Is this a young people's movement, Marc Lamont Hill?
MARC LAMONT HILL, CNN POLITICAL COMMENTATOR: It absolutely is. You know, Dr. King used to say when dogs bite us in Birmingham, we bleed everywhere. I mean, this is a reenactment of that practice, you know. Someone got hurt in Ferguson and we're bleeding everywhere. You see around the country protest. The protest chants in Ferguson last night was if we don't get it, shut it down.
You see people shutting down highways. You see people shutting down roads. You see people shutting down games and operas over the last few months. It's an exciting moment for young protesters. As again, the violence is one thing. And we can bracket that for a moment and talk about the 99.9 percent of the protesters who are trying to make change in the spectacle of protests and through organized action, cop watch programs, educational intervention, voter registration drives. This is what activism is like. This is what democracy looks like.
LEMON: Yes. This is what democracy looks like. You sound like you've been out there, Marc Lamont Hill, among protesters.

Whites in the old south could have said that lynchings were “what democracy looks like.”
PEACEFUL protest. Look carefully, no violence, no looting, no burnt-out buildings, no racial demagogues like Al Sharpton inciting riot.
Please notice the contrast between the two groups' behavior. On one hand we have patriotic citizens peacefully protesting, on the other hand we have the streets burning at the hands of modern American Mau-Maus.
Don't let those peaceful people mislead you though, their patience is growing pretty thin. Some day you might get the race war you seem to want so badly.
I think you’re on to something...
Hahahahaha...
Sorry can’t get past the name LAMONT.
He is the “go to guy” for insane commentary on race.
They want the force of big government when it benefits them at the expense of others, yet decry its use against them when they don't like the outcome that isn't to their advantage.
St. Swisher Sweets, and St. Skittles, both were nothing more than garden variety hoodlums who were destined to die in a few years at the hands of their fellow hoodRATS. In the intervening years they would have produced several more copies of themselves. The denizens of Fergaishu are angry that St Swisher Sweets met his demise at the hands of the very state they support. St. Skittles was dispatched by a privateer invested in his own interest, rather than as an enforcer of the state or 'hood.
I bet an interview with this REAL DOCTOR would go over well with Donna Lemon.

I have to agree...given that democracy by definition is mob rule. Yes...that is what democracy looks like. A mob doing what it likes while a minority stands by, afraid to stamp it out.
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
talking heads talk; they say what feels and sounds right to the masses. It doesn’t mean what they say is truth. Often it’s not. It just sounds like it.
Democracy inaction. Stand in the streets blocking traffic.
But don’t DARE consider shutting down the government!
If it did happen, would it be reported ?
I think not...or reported as a possible Tea Party crime..
I thought this is what democracy looked like.

So.. looting and torching businesses that hire local people and generate local revenue is “what democracy looks like,” is it?
He really IS a nutjob.
Tea Party and The KKK....both oh so well know for their necklacing.....
In many libtards minds they are one and the same...
Actually the guy is right. Mob violence is a likely outcome of pure democracy. Of course this guy probably doesn’t even know we do not live in a democracy but a representative republic.
I had a black friend named Lamont. He passed away this year. He was a fine, upstanding, retired, Master Sergeant (think I got that right) in the army. His wife and I are still good friends and meet for brunch once a month.
They would both be ashamed at the excuses, etc. for Ferguson.
The founders did not establish a democracy, which they considered a step away from anarchy. Well, we are close to an anarchy.
Do police sometimes discriminate against blacks? Yes? I've seen it firsthand myself.
But larger claims of police discrimination ring hollow when thugs like St. Skittles and Gentle Giant are treated as poster children for the cause when in both cases their homicides were justifiable. So a person who may be neutral in the matter and who examines the facts in both cases will naturally treat the claims as bullcrap, and the polarization continues apace.
