Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent heart surgery Wednesday morning after experiencing discomfort during exercise, the court said.
Ginsburg, 81, had a stent placed in her right coronary artery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. She was resting comfortably and was expected to be discharged within 48 hours, the court said.

The fact that she refuses to retire tells me that she’s confident about the fix being in for 2016.

My wife’s step father turned 90 last year and in the past 15 months has survived 2 heart attacks, 3 heart operations and last week recovered from a 103 degree fever.
Ditto. I hope she recovers fully and is able to resume her responsibilities. She'll retire when she's ready.
My personal hope is that she stays on the bench until 2017, but that's her call.
