AP Warns Black Friday Means 'Perfect Storm' of Gun Buying

The liberals at Associated Press have a special reason to freak out over Black Friday: it’s a huge day for gun sales, and the background-checks system is severely tested. AP writer Nick Stroud even found space for the noting it’s a “perfect storm,” like the disastrous ship-sinking movie.

The volume of sales means some purchasers “beat the system,” meaning there are only three business days for a background check:

S&W J-frame in .38+P. Lightweight, hammerless (easy to get out of purse or pocket), fairly light trigger. Daughter and wife both trying to steal mine.

An elegant, old-school suggestion would be the S&W Model 19 Combat Magnum. Not too small nor too big, and a nice vintage example will sport either a fine blue or polished nickle finish you just don't see anymore in this time of black everythings. It is chambered--obviously-- in .357 but fires .38 Special interchangeably.

What Barack Obama is most thankful for this year: he’s been replaced as the nation’s #1 gun salesman. By Mike Brown.

+1 The only question that remains is are there enough lamp posts, and is there enough rope?

In the event of... "The Event", what was it that was commonly said by characters in the movie "Heartbreak Ridge"?

"Improvise, overcome, adapt!"

I'd be interested if you could get a FN P90 AND the correct military ammo for it. Sounds ike a good thing to defend one's self againt armored thugs. Or the Russian AN-94

everything isnteresting has been legislated away by the bedwetters and the tyrants

The Mrs. loves hers. Even enjoys shooting it with full house .357 rounds but it is more pleasant to shoot with .38 speacials. I like it with .38+P.

My late Mom had one and liked it, although I insist that there is something sick and wrong about calling a firearm “cute”. :-(

LOL! my wife chose it because she liked the way it looked; her first gun. Now she likes it because she can hit with it and it hits hard - and because it looks cute.

When we run out of lamp-posts and rope, we’ll just have to use strip-shopping-center sidewalk overhangs and piano wire.

In fact, maybe we should START with the piano wire.

I would welcome such a conversation!

Unfortunately, we’re all birds of a feather around here. Not a lot of gun grabber viewpoints are offered at dinner, or any other time.

If we have among our guests any closet gun-grabbers that can’t find the courage to broach the subject at dinner, maybe they’ll bring it up AFTER dinner while we’re all plugging targets out back. :-)

Nice...with the rebate you are near Glock prices for H&K. Kinda like BMW price for Chevy. [not that there's anything wrong with Chevy].

I have the H&K P2000 with extended mag and X-Grips support. Carrys 13 rounds hollow point. Would get me 8 years in N.J. [so that's why I don't live there]
