MARIA CHAPPELLE-NADAL: Tonight, when you listen to what Prosecutor Bob McCulloch said, in fact, I've been getting text messages non-stop as I've been listening to your reporting, and people are angered, because they feel as though his words are empty, as it was said earlier today, and because of the systematic racism that we have in our state government, and our state party, and we do not bring the truth to bear, then we will not recover from what we are going on, what we are experiencing right now. And I have to tell you, this is St. Louis's race war. We didn't have a race war like other cities throughout the country. This is our race war. And people have to be open, and they have to be honest and they have to earnest, and they have not been earnest for decades. In my own experience, I know people in my own party, in my own government structure who disregard things that we say and how we feel, and we are not going to allow it anymore.

So a white police officer has to just let a very large black man charge him, steal his gun, beat him, and just hope he is not shot with his own gun?

Maybe we should consider that certain groups of people simply aren’t smart enough to be trusted with elected office.
So this is a racist and hateful white senator expressing her feelings about blacks in America?
How old is this person?
Are only the locals invited,or can anyone play?
This isn’t a race war...it’s an exhibition of lawlessness by an uncivilized group of Americans who need to be stepped on roughly. There’s only one group of Americans who cause the country so much trouble as far as lawlessness and cost to the taxpayers to keep them existing. Until the country does something about The Black Underclass, these things will continue.

The very first blacks to hold public office during Reconstruction made more sense than these politicians. By any real standards, very little progress has been made and in some ways it is regression.

Her side has 14% of the population.
Does she understand strategery?? Her side is out numbered about 7:1. No military strategist would go to war with those odds against them.
Oh, it’s a war all right, but not a race war. It’s a war between thugs and their enablers, and decent people. And it turns out there are a lot of enablers who have a stake in cowing and intimidating decent people. The current President and his political party, for starters.
Yes, but her side has the media.
It’s not really a race war until you start seeing lots of white people on the street carrying guns every time a white person is threatened by blacks.
