You are comparing a court standard of “innocent until proven guilty’ to a social standard. That is incorrect. For example, even though many lynchings were not proven in a court of law, we accept the social evidence that lynchings did occur.

Likewise, with Cosby, although his rape was not proven in a court of law, many women have testified to the fact and his handler who dealt with the women has testified to the fact that he used his power as a tool of sex with women. From this we draw our own conclusions about the character of people and events, even though it is not before a court of law. I have concluded that Cosby was probably not as good as his public “dad” image. But, I would not want him imprisoned without a trial.

I disagree. If you listen you'll hear that Cosby is guilty according to the media. This has become a standard for our society...that the media has become the judge and jury, and a person is guilty until proven innocent.
