Live updates: Ferguson protests turn violent; building, cars burn

10:30 p.m. Central Time: Fires continue, and while many protestors are still out in Ferguson, Missouri, reporters say the crowds had dwindled a bit. Some protestors are shouting profanity at police and members of the media. One building is engulfed in flames and is destroyed. CNN reports the building is a Little Caesars pizza restaurant.

“The third ruffian” is a character in a fictional Masonic morality play. The “ruffian” is a thief and a murderer who kills an innocent man for personal gain and for anger, when the incident man was there but to build God’s temple.

It is an allusion to the fact that we are all sinners and need Jesus Christ to save us, and are all guilty of his murder.

I generally took the role of the third ruffian because it was meaningful and also because I look the part of a thug — almost 7 feet tall and pushing a lean 300 lbs.
