The Democrats have already jumped off the bridge with Obama. The blind are leading the blind. The lazy gutless media continues to follow this lawlessness for the sake of ratings. The more conflict the higher the ratings!

Yet Georgie Will and FOX news is warning the GOP not to “jump off the cliff” with Cruz.

George Will is just another Washingtonian begging for a caress from those in power and a paycheck from those who adore them. He is a highly paid talker who enjoys the tony cocktail parties with his other Washington friends across that magic aisle. But wisdom? It is simply not there.

He is so-o-o-o late '50s! He would be a great addition to King Louis XIV's court,... or maybe the new Emperor could invite him to some nice coronation so he could be seen clapping like a seal in the front row.

Are There Really Jobs Americans Won’t Do? A detailed look at immigrant and native employment across occupations

Of the 472 civilian occupations, only six are majority immigrant (legal and illegal). These six occupations account for 1 percent of the total U.S. workforce. Moreover, native-born Americans still comprise 46 percent of workers even in these occupations.

We find that there are no occupations in the United States in which a majority of workers are illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigrants work mostly in construction, cleaning, maintenance, food service, garment manufacturing, and agricultural occupations. However, the overwhelming majority of workers even in these areas are native-born or legal immigrants.

Although illegal immigrants comprise a large share of workers in agriculture, farm workers are only a tiny share of the total labor force. Consistent with other research, just 5 percent of all illegal immigrants work in agriculture.

Fournier from National Journal had the best two comments:...

I'm beginning to like Fournier, a man whom I've always detested. Perhaps he has a small kernel of journalistic reason still alive somewhere way deep down inside that Liberal hack shell?

Cruz seems to be our only answer. 3 weeks after a double XX landslide !, the GOP, media, etc. refuse to see the reasons behind the election.

I like how Gov. Walker has thwarted the libs, but Cruz would light some fires and lead the charge. Not sure about Scott Walker. Someone must make the case, forcefully.

The ‘Scorched America’ policy. Or as Limbaugh said, (what is)’bad for America, is good for Democrats’.

I’m glad you didn’t go off on impeachment. It’s not used as it was designed and meant to be used, sadly. Regardless, impeachment won’t happen unless both Democrats and the media demand it. Republicans won’t be going out on a limb with this.

Failing the above, censure, contempt of congress charges and the power of the purse will be used. I also hope numerous committees investigate past scandals that the Senate blocked for six years.

I agree with Rush, every piece of legislation should include a kind of Executive Summary outlining the purpose of each bill and explaining what it is and why it’s necessary.

I don’t even know if I want to see this..watching Stephy’s show..it is sooo nauseating and full of lies and cutting off Ben Carson.OMG, Carville at his most disgusting....its just so much crap and phonyness..that Van Der Heuvel is so full of BS that she spouts so well.

Guess I may need to get on some antidepressants to make it through this govt, its liars, and the stupidity of the majority of American people.

“...and all that most are doing in response is sitting at their keyboard...”

I’ve been thinking about what we can do. One thing I’ve come up with is going to the state party leaders & asking them to address this issue with our federal elected Republicans - maybe a proclamation or demand for action. If every state party group did something like that it might get more attention. And it would have at least some weight with McConnell & Boehner, if they won’t listen to the American people as individuals. Oregon doesn’t have many Republicans to go to other than Greg Walden, but at least he’s in the leadership.

Just saw Guliani take down the Tyson punk (he said he’s an ordained minister-that’s enough to keep me in bed on a sunday morning). Liked what Guliani had to say there.

I always was mystified how or why the German Parliament would pass the “Enabling Act” allowing Hitler to enact law without their approval— effectively making him a dictator. Today, I’m beginning to understand it...

Yes, the similarities are stunning, aren't they? Plus there are the personal attributes - the racism, personal radicalization, community organizer talent, distain for God, demagoguery, sociopathic personality, ruthless purpose, delusions of divinity, and hate for representative government and institutions.

On the other hand, Hitler was a courageous soldier, a middling artist, had a known birthplace, and sported an interesting moustache - traits which our current Fuhrer lacks although he does have some interesting head scars Hitler never had.

your post points out why Dems & media types are afraid of Cruz.

He won’t fall for their deflect, misdirect techniques.

He focuses on the issues and demands dialogue and a response.

He’s doing what they should be doing, but won’t..

Thanks for the summary

When liberal Oregon votes no for issuing drivers licenses to illegal aliens, we can assume these polls are designed to influence, not report fairly. How the questions are worded and related questions makes a difference.

Obama is a lame duck. He can rain on the parade of wins for the GOP, but he looks like a sore loser here. He looks like the Joker in a deck of cards now. The Democrats are foolish to invest their future in the President, Reid and Pelosi. Not sure they have the clout they pretend to have!
The Republicans need to rise above this lawlessness.
They need to communicate in simple language by cutting the deficit (big spending)and exposing the numerous lies and flaws of this current administration. They need to expose the foolish liberal media for what it is!

but Cruz would light some fires and lead the charge...Someone must make the case, forcefully.

Our nominee must be ideological, not a pragmatist, and able to sell same. Plus, he must have a will of steel.

In a word, another Reagan: a man committed to conservative beliefs, capable of communicating them and willing to see them through to victory.

Cruz is that man.

I’m a huge Ted Cruz fan. Having said that I believe he would do better in the Senate leadership than running for president. We’ve had a Senator as president and he has been horrible. Do we want another?

I submit our best candidate will come from either current or past state governors. They will have actually run something large, comprised of both Democrats and REpublicans, and won a statewide election.
