In the midst of this lovely Catholic bashing post, may I ask a favor? The two year old grandson of a friend and coworker has been put on life support. They found him stiff and fevered early this morning. Life flight took him to the closest children’s hospital, at which time he was put into a medically induced coma and vented. Now he has been put on life support. Please pray for the family, the child, and the medical staff.

Planet Earth DOES NOT have the power to forgive trespasses, or even to be trespassed against.
Pope Francis is worshipping the creature (Gaia), not the creator. That has been warned against. (See Romans 1:25, and note its context).
This pope is not of righteousness. He begs to be ignored and his teachings shunned.

Pope Francis warned Thursday that planet earth would not forgive the abuse of its resources for profit I really hope this is the press twisting his words. We don't need a New Age Pope who worships Mother Nature.

I agree. Greed people have for other people’s property will destroy the world. First time I have agreed with the Pope in a long time.

Exactly;
Maybe Francis should take a stroll down in the basement over there?
I think we should invade the Vatican and clean out some treasure, give it to his comminusts heros to use to help the people.
Let’s see how the church feels about that

Pope Francis warned Thursday that planet earth would not forgive the abuse of its resources for profit, urging the world's leaders to rein in their greed and help the hungry -- or risk a doomsday scenario in which nature would exact revenge. "God always forgives, but the earth does not," the Argentine pope told the Second International Conference on Nutrition (CIN2) in Rome, a three-day meeting aimed at tackling malnutrition, a global scourge which afflicts poor and rich alike. "Take care of the earth so it does not respond with destruction," he warned representatives from 190 countries gathered for the conference organised by the UN food agency (FAO) and World Health Organization (WHO) in the Italian capital.

Are Catholics here still defending this guy?
The quotes we get from Francis are sometimes identical to what you’d hear from Fidel Castro during one of his horribly long and nonsensical speeches.
Let’s be honest. Pope Francis is a pretty hard core leftist, apparently a wanna-be environmental wacko, an enemy of individual freedom and terrible influence on millions of people.

I was raised Catholic.....give me Pope Benedict any day of the week. I’m definitely NOT enthralled with this pope.
Pope Francis sounds like a Miss America contestant.

It isn’t “bashing.” Why is the Truth always “bashing.” The last defense of a scoundrel is the “bashing” pound the table defense. When ancient Israel turned away from what God explicitly told them, was God’s defense of His honor “bashing?” This garbage uttered by this overdressed and Un-Biblical peacock is an OFFENSE to the living God. And you defend it.
