It would be “impossible to defund President Obama’s executive order through a government spending bill, House Appropriations Committee spokeswoman Jennifer Hing said Thursday.
Congress doesn’t provide funding to U.S. Citizenship and Immgiration Services (CIS), the agency responsible for issuing work permits and green cards. Instead, the agency is funded through fees.
“We cannot, literally cannot, defund that agency in an appropriations bill because we don’t appropriate that agency. That agency is entirely-fee funded,” Hing told reporters.

As so many of us have already figured out, federal agencies like this one have found a way to subvert the congressional oversight and appropriations process by funding themselves through fees and fines. Looks like Congressional Republicans just woke up and figured this out too.

Like most here on Free Republic, I call my representatives, who don’t listen to me.
I vote, I pay my taxes, I obey the laws, and I am a good, loyal citizen.
None of that makes a difference.
I am not going to take up arms. I am not going to march. I am not going to go on strike from work.
AND I AM NOT GOING TO SPEND A DAMN CENT THAT I DON’T ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO!
I will eat from my preps. I will only travel to and from work.

Please join me in this quiet revolution. If enough clamp down on spending now, we may make enough of an impression that even the Chamber will understand WHO really runs America.
Worst that can happen is we will have more cash available should we need it for more drastic action.
You can impeach him for failing to faithfully execute the duties of his office (among other things).

Divide up appropriation bills.
Pass bill that services the national debt, and attach rider that prohibits funding for amnesty/green cards (because it’s unconstitutional).
See if he refuses that one. Then go from there.
Throw this one back at the leftists from the 14 amendment section 4:
“The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned.”
If he vetoes that one, then send up a simple debt funding bill. Go down the line with other bills. Never send up anything that includes funding for amnesty.
I should have called it “Kabuki Surrender” but it really is collaboration.
It’s impossible for the President to grant amnesty by himself, yet, here it comes!
Just defund a few other things:
Moochie’s globe trotting vacations, Date Nights, Kobe Steak and Lobster pig-outs
Obama’s Czars
Queen Valerie Jarrett’s pay and perks
White House Rap and Hip-Hop parties
SWAT teams for the IRS, US post Office, the EPA, etc.
Global Warming research grants and anything else to do with the scam
Foreign Aid grants to Obama’s favorite muslim terrorist groups
The Republicans were given a second chance and put in power despite their unpopularity.
Republicans were given a very simple election mandate from the American people - stop Obama and his agenda, pure and simple.
If they don't get the message to fight the fight they were elected to fight, they will be out in 2016 either because the American public kicks them out or because Obama has won the fight and realized his goal of manufacturing a permanent Democrat majority by demographically swamping American Citizens with a Tsunami of imported illegal alien voters beholden to Obama personally

Congress has the authority to set fees. And reduce them, too.
Lower your taxes; less income; more charitable deductions; spend only with conservative supporting vendors; spend more time with your family. Seek government benefits. Starve the beast.
