I wouldn’t mind if 0bama had a meeting with Robert Byrd.

Remember Rand Paul went to Ferguson, or something like that.

Rand Paul thinks if he does these things that he can get 20-30% of the black vote, maybe more.

Doesn’t matter. His last name is “Paul”, so... Anything he does must be spun to denigrate him in the strongest terms possible.

It’s how they do things here.

Or that Paul was just decent enough to not be rude to him.

I have two guys i am not gonna vote for: bush and christy. I thi k rand paul would be a better president than mccain or romney. I’ll take him. He will have a high likelyhood of bringing in votes that other republicans wont get.

My point was why would any one with any ounce of respect for self and the people they represent even consider sitting at the same table as a criminal?

Rand Paul has been playing up to black liberals for a while now. His trip to Ferguson was to tell us how unfair it was that more blacks were locked up in prison than whites. It's a racist country, don't you know.

He's also for amnesty, just not for Obama’s amnesty. He also said we need 500,000 more visas for educated foreigners. I guess they are so much better than all the unemployed technology workers in the USA including me.

Am I the only one who thinks Al Shapton’s head looks about three times to big for his body since he lost that weight? It’s almost comical.

He didn't lose weight, he just stopped carrying around all of his scammed cash on his person.

You’ve never had to talk with someone you don’t like/respect?

Good post yours. There are a couple of ways to look at this.

One: Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Looking at it another way, do what the democrats DON'T want you to do. I'm sure the democrats don't want Republicans meeting with any black leaders. Sure, Sharpton is repulsive. But meetings like this are sure to worry the lib's. That's a good thing.

I remember a parody from Rush's show. I believe it was done by Paul Shanklin. Feed Caroline to the tune of Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline sung by Al Sharpton. One of the funniest I've ever heard. Can't find it anywhere on the web.

If he were President, Rand Paul would probably do no more to infuriate me than other Republicans would. And, he would attract younger voters an possibly a slice of the minority vote that other candidates might not be able to capture.

Instead of meeting with people like Ben Carson and others, he thinks Al Sharpton can help racial unrest.

What Rand Paul thinks is the ‘biggest mistake’ for GOP

I know that's not amnesty. I said he also said he was for 500,000 visas and amnesty.

A day after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) lost his primary after Dave Brat hammered him on amnesty, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) embraced "immigration reform" on a conference call with Michael Bloomberg's pro-amnesty group and Grover Norquist. http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/06/11/Rand-Paul-Let-s-Compromise-on-Amnesty

There’s a cynical case to be made- pointed out relentlessly in the gubernatorial race in IL (which Rauner, the R won): appealing/listening to blacks and other minorities also helps with suburban voters who are in favor of conservative policy as long as it is perceived to be racially inclusive.

I remember a parody from Rush's show.

Rush's parodies were great. Maybe I'm just tuning in at the wrong times, but I'm not hearing them anymore. I wonder why.

Rand Paul was out of the running for my candidate long ago. He is a repackaged stealth Ron Paul replete with all the requisite crackpot ideas.
