Tonight on national television Barack Obama will give away what your grandparents worked to get.
He will spit in the face of the Statue of Liberty, repudiate the spirit of Ellis Island, and throw rule of law out the window.
Tonight, by royal decree, Barack Obama will bestow amnesty on millions and millions of illegal aliens.
It is astounding act of arrogance by a president who was repudiated just two weeks ago by an electorate that has no confidence in him. With no mandate and no discussion, the people and the Congress have been left out of a society-changing decree that may forever alter the ability of the United States to control its border and determine its population.
Basically, it’s like somebody breaking into your house and you being ordered by the mayor to let this person stay in your house, with no penalty or removal.
For years, foreigners have purposefully overstayed visas, shown up pregnant to have their anchor babies, and lived under the radar of deportation. Now they are being rewarded for their crimes. Bad is good and good is bad and anybody who can get across the river has a good chance of staying.
Because Barack Obama says so.
A president whose father, aunt and uncle have been illegal aliens in this country has essentially authorized the legalization of enough sneak-ins to populate an average-sized state.
I wonder why.
What explains this? Why is he doing it, why is he doing it this way, and why is he doing it now?
If the president’s assertion is that he is driven by moral reasons to issue his executive order, to protect the interests of these people, where has he been the last six years? If they have to be protected today, why didn’t they have to be protected yesterday?
Why has he let three-quarters of his administration pass before doing anything for illegals?
And why did he wait until after the election? If he knew this was coming – and he clearly did – was his concealment of that fact to shape the outcome of an election an act of moral fraud or dishonesty?
Also, given the repeated warning from congressional Republicans not to do this, and given their looming power in Washington, how smart was it to start this peeing match? Why would a president nuke his relationship with congressional majorities over something like this?
Was it all about politics?
Is the president so cynical and so shallow as to believe that whoever grants the most amnesty gets the most Latino voters? Is this some grab to make Latinos, like blacks, the political property of the Democratic Party?
And if he really cared about immigration or the people caught in the failings of our current immigration system, wouldn’t he work something out with Congress, instead of sour Congress on the whole subject?
And on the political note, he has spent the last six years blaming everything on Republicans. Issue after issue, the problem is, the president claims, evil, racist, obstructionist Republicans who can no longer be tolerated.
This will be one more of those.
Evil Republicans didn’t do it his way, so he is going to do it his way.
If that’s his plan, he’s not a very smart guy. Because the vilification of Republicans has resulted in American electing more Republicans to legislative office than at any other time in American history. The narrative that the Republicans are the bad guys didn’t work on Election Day.
And yet he is using it some more.
He is flipping off the Congress, and the majority of Americans who opposed amnesty for illegal aliens.
Without legislative support, without popular support, without even trying to build public support, he is going forward with his plan.
And at that point it stops being about amnesty and immigration, and it starts being about an oppressive autocrat who is deaf to common sense, even when it comes from the members of his own party who tried to warn him away.
Barack Obama is a god unto himself.
And tonight he will lecture us.
And a simmering public debate of many years standing is pushed aside by a president who doesn’t give a damn about what people think.

I would trade them this ONE time amnesty for this: make all payroll deductions illegal. The American taxpayer deals directly with the US treasury.
Since most of the people who will benefit from this are Hispanic, they will qualify for government preferences ahead of American citizens who are guilty of being white.
Obama had dinner with 18 Congressional Democrats last night, probably to make sure they all know the talking points. Expect the media to focus on the divisions in the Republican Party over how to react, and sympathetic stories about individual illegals who will benefit from the amnesty.
It is clear O’Bastard has a lot of hatred for “normal” working class average (albeit white) citizens.
As difficult as it will be to use, this is the only real leverage we have.
