The arguments given are very appropriate to the old adage that “ from little acorns big oak trees grow”.

It doesn’t matter what Reagan or any other President did or didn’t do. If amnesty is a horrible idea now, then it has to be stopped.

It is all well and good to be clear on details but one thing is being overlooked across the board: just how many presidents over the years have granted amnesty to those in this country illegally. To my knowledge, almost every outgoing President has done this (at least as this article shows, back to 1986).
No, I'm not trying to compare to what Prez. O is doing. Just pointing out what a nice trick the lawyers have managed to pull on us, so that amnesty will be granted regardless of how the legal citizens feel.
IMO, we are fighting a losing battle and need to refocus on one we can win.
