Morning AB, All....

Just returned from church singing at 8:30 mass. Man today’s gospel made no sense to me. But loved the first reading about the value of a wife.

Also didn’t get that bit about our children sitting around the table like olive plants....serious, it really said this.

Everything is fine here, not to worry, been busy but you’ll not get rid of me so easily.

As always, thank you AB for doing this thread and thank all yon contributors.

I would note that CNN’s Candy Crowley, the WORST Sunday political moderator now that Gregory of Meet the Press is gone. Heh. Woman only has Democrats on? One of which is Al Franken?

I must yuk.

I guess God wants kids to politely sit down, shut up, pay attention and emulate their parents, instead of what they do now. (tantrumic vulgar little bastards)

I think we are seeing the exponential multi-generational effects of this.

Responsorial Psalm ps 128:1-2, 3, 4-5

R/ (cf. 1a) Blessed are those who fear the Lord.

Blessed are you who fear the LORD,
who walk in his ways!
For you shall eat the fruit of your handiwork;
blessed shall you be, and favored.
R/ Blessed are those who fear the Lord.
Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine
in the recesses of your home;
Your children like olive plants
around your table.
R/ Blessed are those who fear the Lord.

Behold, thus is the man blessed
who fears the LORD.
The LORD bless you from Zion:
may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life.
R/ Blessed are those who fear the Lord.

It reads easier than it's heard or sung.

Olive trees in King David's Israel where very precious things that were passed down generation after generation. Having children like olive plants (young olive trees just starting their many centuries of production) with the olives "able" to fall on your table--bountiful... Was indeed a blessing from the Lord!

When I was stationed in Southern Italy (San Vito de Normanni Air Station) there were many massively productive olive trees over 1,000 years old!

If you accidently ran over someone, you were liable for millions of Lira in damages, but hit and destroy one of those olive trees, and the costs would be in the trillions!

Yep, some Democrats who won may now be wishing they hadn’t because the willing accomplice media has to acknowledge the fraud of their Affordable Health Care Act.

Either Democrats are that stupid to vote not knowing the ‘economics’ or they were in on the fraud. What one is it, Al Franken? Al?
