Islamic State sets sights on Saudi Arabia
BBC World News ^ | 14 November 2014 | Frank Gardner

Posted on 11/15/2014 12:06:56 PM PST by LeoWindhorse

In a 17-minute audio message, purportedly from its elusive leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the group sets its sights firmly on Saudi Arabia, birthplace of Islam and the world's largest oil producer and exporter.

The speaker does not refer to it as Saudi Arabia, since this is a name derived from the ruling tribe, the al-Saud, whose authority IS does not accept.

Instead he calls it "the land of Haramayn", the land of the two holy places, meaning Mecca and Medina.

two points : 1 -Abu bakr al Baghdadi should be target number 1 for the worlds spec ops forces . He should be killed , ay any cost . 2- the day that ISIS rolls victorious into Mecca and Medina should be the day that someone detonates nuclear weapons over both these cities , to utterly incinerate both location and everyone in it , instantly .

I disagree with #1 — if he is going to start killing Saudis — I support him. Let him attack them and destroy the tomb of the prophet. he’s already escalated the Sunni-Shia war. the USA should only protect the Christians and Yazidis in Syria and Iraq and let the Sunnis fight the Shia and each other

Why do you think they will destroy the tomb?

As long as he was a Saudi/Turk/State proxy, no one was willing to go after him. Now that he has become a threat to the Sauds, you may see things shift dramatically. They don’t mind using monsters as long as they are pointed outward and away. The moment they turn toward Riyadh its a whole new game.

I suspect that the Saudis may try to use them to help get rid of their Wahibbi problem as this plays out.

I guess the question could be why wouldn’t he attack Israel first? I don’t have the mind of an Islamic terrorist, to be sure.

THIS is why the Saudi’s are causing world oil prices to fall, folks, and why the Saudi’s have told the rest of OPEC to go to hell.

ISIS is a dagger pointed straight at Mecca, and the Saudi Royal House. And they are getting their money by selling OIL.

As much as some folks like to think they are doing this to hurt the Russians, it is simply an attempt at self-preservation.

Because he wants to rule the world, not help some other guy to rule it.

Protecting the Sauds is how our politicians become billionaires. This is a golden opportunity.

Our pols always walk the line between protecting Israel, to satisfy the voters back home, and protecting the Sauds, to retire in the manner to which they aspire. The Sauds understand this and have no problem with it.

Things changed the day IS declared itself a caliphate. They basically declared war on every Muslim government in the world. Personally I hope they slaughter each other for decades.

If you read over on Walid Shoebat’s site, he has been saying for a long time that Saudi Arabia will be a target (of ISIS, I think) and will be destroyed. Very interesting as he ties it in with Bible prophecy. Can’t recall all the details right now but you might want to check it out.

Osama bin laden’s biggest victory was getting the US to move its forces out of Saudi Arabia. They are now located in Quatar. Now other nations are aligning to destroy the Saudis, including Turkey, Iran, and ISIS. The royal family will not last much longer.

I don't think we need to go that far.

All we really to do is pull a Dresden on that capitol city of theirs.

The Caliph has said he would destroy the tombs and tear down the Kaaba itself. His brand if Islam is a radical departure from the excepted view of this religion. He is trying to “Purify” Islam of these “pagan” ideas. Kinda like the Pilgrims wanted to purify the Christian Church and rid it of Roman Catholic elements—Like Christmas! It would be good to have them roll into Mecca and purify the place.
