“But, unfortunately, that wouldn’t neatly align with his sociological credo. Jonathan Gruber is the son of the New York University Stern Finance Professor (Emeritus) Martin J. Gruber, who received his Ph.D. from Columbia, and was once Director of the National Bureau of Economic Research. That’s equivalent to a winning genetic lottery ticket, isn’t it?”

That may be.... :); pretty cloistered it seems. The luck of the liberal elite!! Columbia and Harvard....

Gruber’s His wife, Andrea Kauffmann Gruber, is on FB and belongs to a FB group named “We Despise Michele Bachmann” - I thought that was interesting. And her public posts gush over her wonderful husband. Wonder what she’s posting these days?

Pickert recalled a particular conversation she had with Gruber: “In 2013, for instance, I asked Gruber if Democrats understood that the ACA would slowly and methodically erode the system under which millions of Americans get health insurance through their jobs. In pitching the ACA, Democrats had been adamant that the law would support and sustain the employer-based system, not erode it. But Gruber knew better and he told me so, likening workers being kicked off job-based health plans to people ‘falling off a building,’ an outcome that architects of the ACA knew was likely and had planned for“

Why "falling off a building"? is that a common occurrence, or an often used phrase? Does it mean an event was rare? Or that it was unavoidable?

Or that it was no big deal? Just collateral damage? Do architects or engineers, police, hospitals, or city planners really take it into account that a certain number of people will fall from buildings every year?

Falling off a building is a pretty catastrophic event for somebody, isn't it? I also have to ask if anybody thinks of 9/11 when they hear Gruber's phrase. Or maybe of suicides.

In any case, there's something wrong with Jonathan Gruber. Borderline autistic, maybe?

Jonathan Gruber is not a bad guy. Obama got a personal and professional reference on Gruber from Mitt Romney, his prior consulting client, before hiring him. Romney was the first to have Jonathan Gruber figure out how to scam the taxpayers to fund a corrupt system that robs them of their money and freedom. Mitt Romney gave Jonathan Gruber his start. Mitt Romney thinks he should be the Republican Presidential nominee in 2016.

The Tea Party’s opposition to Deathcare and bailouts is why they hate and fear us so much. We are not stupid. They need stupid to lead stupid.

Solar, natural gas, waves all get moment at Christie administration's Energy Master Plan hearing

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Jan 21, 2010

A draft plan that will plot a course for New Jersey’s energy policy brought hundreds of people to the New Jersey Institute of Technology yesterday, each determined to give the state Board of Public Utilities a piece of their mind.

Less reassured were environmentalists and critics of the hydraulic fracturing technique used to supply the state with an abundance of natural gas, which has dramatically cut energy costs in recent years.

“Your plan emphasizes the benefits of natural gas without mentioning the dangers of extracting natural gas from underground shale,” said Ellie Gruber of the League of Women Voters in Ridgewood.

Solomon challenged Gruber to find an explicit endorsement of fracturing in the plan.

TESTIMONY GIVEN AT THE 2011 ENERGY MASTER PLAN HEARINGS JULY 26, 2011
My name is Ellie Gruber and I am representing the League of Women Voters of New Jersey. The guiding principle of the League of Women Voters is the active and informed participation by citizens in government. We are a public interest organization, not an environmental organization. Our comments today directly address the impact on residents of New Jersey of the 2011 Draft Energy Master Plan. We plan to submit written comments at a later date, in addition to these given today.

What a loser family of privileged wealthy LIB trash. I bet every paycheck they received for the past couple generations comes from the “stupid” taxpayers that they despise and denigrate. These morons should be shunned.

We should make up some truth, and sic the Ferguson and New Orleans looters on them. They could "take care of business".

Remember, ABCCBSNBC etc ran no stories on the mid-terms. The prodded sheep are waking up, and sheep don’t like being called stupid by one of their supposed Shepherds.

Gruber has now entered the USA lexicon. To be grubered has a special meaning, something like dog feces. The guy wanted to be in the history books. I am also glad that such a prestigious school as MIT has also added to its historical renown.

A true red diaper baby leftist. She has greater compassion for parrots than unborn babies.

I THINK this is her charity. This explains how Pajama boy got his pet cockatoo.
