New York ends cooperation with feds on immigrant deportations

New York (AFP) - New York Mayor Bill de Blasio signed two laws Friday that cut the city's cooperation with US federal authorities on the deportation of undocumented immigrants.

Blasting federal immigration enforcement as "overbroad," de Blasio said America's most populated city would now only cooperate with national authorities when there are concerns over public safety or when immigrants have committed "violent or serious" crimes.

"Mass deportation has not only pulled apart thousands of New York City families, it has also undermined public safety in our communities and imposed disproportionate penalties on immigrant parents and spouses who these families depend on for emotional and financial support," de Blasio said in a statement.

All federal funds that make their way to NY should immediately be ceased.

All of these NYC are doing this in a desperate attempt to save the city. If it weren’t for illegal immigrants, the city would be de-populating at an alarming rate.

QUOTE: How ‘bout Conservative states trying that and see how far they get before judges “force” them to comply.

You mean like, um, Arizona?

Last night, a NY1 political call-in show featured some people up in arms over this policy. Amnesty is not a winning issue for Dems.

Congress should block all expense three to any municipality or state that acts as a sanctuary for illegal Aliens.

We have to discourage these criminals from coming to the U.S. or they’ll Bankrupt us.

Spot on the progressive plan to drain the system until full socialism is in operation.

Usually Feds just threaten some kind of aid; I believe highway funds were threatened for any state that didn’t want to accept the 55 mph speed limit years ago.

Here in NJ, where school taxes are about 75% of our massive property tax bills, several districts are requiring documentation that ensures they are contributing via rents (with lease agreements) or property taxes. The school districts here have no problem with the immigration status because we would be closing a lot of school districts without illegals (and public school employees have no future in the private sector).

And, Comrade Bill wants to eliminate the ban on cell phones in classrooms. The passing stats haven’t taken a big enough hit, despite the blatant efforts to bring them up by absolutely fraudulent means, such as the fake “credit recovery”—now he wants the students to have their cell phones available to them in class, so they can endlessly text instead of paying attention, photograph and text their exams across the room to their friends, photograph or record the teacher and then doctor it up to get the teacher in trouble. Absolutely brilliant! Why don’t we send him on a permanent vacation to his beloved commie Nicaragua or even better, Cuba?

I take comfort from the fact that DiBlasio is hated by nearly everybody in town. He’s got people comparing him unfavorably to Bloomberg. Who expected that!

Yeah, but what's that going to do to get a decent mayor into place? Too much time left on his term-->too much damage he can do. I'm sure that everyone sees that he is a mini-me of his hero, Odungo. His vast expansion of Pre-K is nothing more than a Feed 'Em & Breed 'Em program for illegals and welfare spawn.

His choice of an old demented crone who hasn't had a positive original idea since 1980 for a schools Chancellor was absolutely inspired! He will ruin the very little of the school system that failed to die under Bloomturd. Already you can sit at a table in the teachers lounge and wonder whether you're in the same profession, what with the acronyms of Commie Core and the other garbage they've foisted on teachers being flung around, buzzwords with serrated edges that cut away at time-tested teaching techniques.

The kids have been gifted with the title of Supervisor in every classroom; teachers are afraid to discipline lest they be brought up on charges for the slightest slight. DiBlahblah also intends to lower the standards of the entry exams into the city's last few elite schools where real scholarship takes place. I can just imagine the level of learning which will go on when Darius and LaShonda are busy grabbing each other in class, turning up the volume on their iPod or cell phone to blast crap music into the classroom to amuse themselves (since they have no interest in learning), throwing stuff at the teacher, and trying to copy their neighbors' tests.

Now he wants to hang the "You are soooooo WELCOME" sign on NYC to let illegals know that they can consider it a sanctuary from the law. Taxpayer money means nothing to the commie, so long as he can pass it on to his beloved illegals so they can vote (illegally) for Dem candidates. Having to foot the bills for their housing, food, education, medical care, and all those special services for their numerous offspring such as bilingual teachers, translators, counselors, etc. should be considered the PRIVILEGE of taxpayers, according to his twisted mind. Any other country, including the ones they sneaked in from, would have tossed them back home from their border.

I saved the best for last: he wants to push through legislation giving absolutely illegal scum who have no business being here the RIGHT TO VOTE! Here is an excerpt from the NY Post:

"...Illegal aliens in New York could score billions in Medicaid and college tuition money — along with driver’s licenses, voting rights and even the ability to run for office — if Democrats win control of the state Senate in November, The Post has learned.

A little-known bill, dubbed “New York is Home,” would offer the most sweeping amnesty available anywhere in the country to nearly 3 million noncitizens living in the Empire State.

It would bar police from releasing any information about them to the feds, unless it involves a criminal warrant unrelated to their immigration status.

Under the proposed legislation, undocumented immigrants could also apply for professional licenses and serve on juries."

The rational thinker HAS to wonder just who does he and the Latino members of the city council think they're working for. The obvious conclusion would be, La Raza and their ilk.
