In the top 20, there are ONLY two states with Demon Rat governors.
Thanks for the link.
Well in all fairness, there aren’t that many dem governors. :)
Business thrives where feedback loops are not artificially hindered. But look at Haley Barbour’s Ms. My guess is business is good for his friends.
And I think Nevada is the only one out of the top 10 with a Dem legislature. This, along with the general decay of many Dem-controlled major cities, should tell people something.
VA has taken a plunge. The past year it dropped four places and this is the same poll VA was at/near the top a few years ago. Those damn Northeast liberals moving into NoVa is going to kill the goose.
31 republican governors, 24 states totally controlled by republicans (legislative and executive) to only 6 for democrats. 67 of 99 state chambers will now be under GOP control.
Compare to neighboring Louisiana. Under Jindhal the state has jumped 31 places from 40th in 2010.
Both houses of the Nevada legislature are now Republican.
Should read the quotes from the CEOs for each state. I love this one for Illinois:
Illinois is a horrendous state in which to do business. It is governed by a class of incompetent, corrupt politicans. Its like doing business in a third-world country.
This survey is proof that Christie should be a non-entity for POTUS. The guy is all bark and no bite. NJ was business hell hole before he entered office and will be when he finally leaves. Look at what real leaders like Jindhal and Haley have done as shown in the results of this survey.
1 Texas 5.2
2 Florida 6.1
3 Tennessee 7.3
4 North Carolina 6.7
5 South Carolina 6.6
6 Indiana 5.7
7 Arizona 6.9
8 Nevada 7.3
9 Louisiana 6.0
10 Georgia 7.9
13 Utah 4.1
The Forbes rankings make more sense. Oklahoma definitely belongs no lower than 10.
California. Sad.
Between the Cal air resources board and the legislature, we are the best employer of Texans anywhere.
Mississippi....the poorest state in the union is at 37.....what does that say!!!
Interesting that Massachusetts ranks so high on the Forbes list, being as hard left as it is.
Indiana has many orthopedic and bio-tech facilities.
