As our friend Daniel Horowitz of Conservative Review said, "Its as if the November 4 elections never occurred."
Today, the new House membership met in a private conclave and reelected every one of their top leaders by voice vote. This includes John Boehner (R-OH) as Speaker, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as Majority Leader, Steve Scalise (R-LA) as Majority Whip, and Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) as Conference Chair.
And as Horowitz observed, "At a time of one of the worst constitutional crises in our nations history, when the president is threatening to imminently remake our society with immigration amnesty a policy over which Congress holds absolute power Republican leadership elections lacked any debate on strategy to stop this crisis. None of these people had to provide a platform or a commitment as to how they will deal with this dangerously imperial president. None of them had to make commitments to defund any and all lawless activity. They were all reelected by voice vote."
Just hours before winning reelection to his speakership, Breitbart reported that Boehner said the following to Obama about paying his ransom on immigration:
After a White House meeting last week, Republicans described Speaker John Boehner aggressively confronting President Obama over the president's planned executive amnesty, prompting an extended period of a defensive Obama attempting to justify his actions. But a key moment of the meeting, left out from those accounts, was unveiled by Boehner himself, when according to Horowitz, in an exuberant moment of boasting in a closed-door meeting with GOP colleagues minutes ago. Boehner recalled telling Obama, Mr. President, just give us one more chance to do this the right way. If we can't, then do what you gotta do.
So Boehner is telling Obama that he will have the green light to pass amnesty, but asked for permission to try one more time to pass it legislatively? Horowitz had this quote mentioned by Breitbart confirmed by several people in the room when Boehner said it.
Read that again. Boehner told the GOP conference behind closed doors that he told Obama he has the green light to shred our constitution and destroy our sovereignty if Republicans dont do it through regular order. And then he was reelected Speaker just hours later!
This fight is not over, not by a long shot. Game on. Conservatives will be watching.

Call or write your legislator today (the Capitol switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) tell Capitol Hill Republicans that you voted for them to stand tall and fight the Obama Reid plan to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and that you future support of the Republican Party will stand or fall on their opposition to granting amnesty to illegal aliens..
Tell your Representative not to vote for him IN JANUARY WHEN THE VOTE IS HELD.
Today, the new House membership met in a private conclave and reelected every one of their top leaders by voice vote.
How they vote to re-elect anyone if they’re not even sworn in yet?
That’s what I’m trying to find out.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - GET BACK ON YOUR PLANTATION CONSERVATIVES WHO VOTED FOR THESE FOOLS A FEW DAYS AGO.
FOOL YOU ONCE, SHAME ON THEM
FOOL YOU TWICE, SHAME ON YOU
FOOL YOU THREE ELECTIONS IN ROW - YOUR JUST A DARN FOOL!!!!
That was just a party caucus vote by Republicans.
It was a voice vote and a couple people yelled no.
In January there is a vote by the whole House.
That’s the ‘real’ vote.
Normally the majority party’s caucus vote would be upheld in January.
“Matt Fuller @MEPFuller NOV 13
Mo Brooks notes that Boehner was elected speaker on a voice vote, and “one or two” shouted no.”
Again, this was the Party caucus vote.
Now is the time to start looking for a good candidate to primary his butt out.
Ok, maybe his, “Go ahead and do what you’re gonna do.” quote means more like, “Go ahead, make my day.” in boehner’s mind.. i.e., not giving him permission, just acknowledging that zero will do something but not acknowledging the response.
But the comment regarding -just give us oner more time to pass something- is inexcusable.
How about CLOSE THE BORDER, ENFORCE THE LAW.
The “one more chance” means that he is interested in an amnesty bill.
“Do what you gotta do” has to relate to “one more chance”. I don’t see how the 2 can be disconnected. That means, “if we can’t get it done, then you go ahead and do it.”
That seems the most logical way to interpret what he said.
Thanks
Thanks for the clarification.
PING!
Of course! Just read my tag line.
The Pubbies and Dems have been running this illusion/scam to make people think there are two different parties when in reality they are on the same team.
We need to keep up the pressure.
Boehner needs to be removed. How do they do that?
Not that I think it’s the right thing to do, but I fear Boehner, and McConnell’s actions could get many conservatives to stay home in 2016.
In January I will have a Republican congresswoman representing me, and I’m going to tell her to vote for someone else next time Boehner’s speakership is voted on.
If I understand correctly, the actual vote is this January. The voice vote isn’t binding. Again, I could be wrong, but this is the way I understand it.
Thanks very much. Boehner is contributing to the ruination of our country by not fighting, and downright AGREEING with Obama on many issues.
The eGOP has a Deathwish agenda that mirrors Obola’s.
Elections don’t matter anymore.. platforms? lololol
Why even have conventions?
Just anoint another Bush and pretend all is well..
Also, if you get the chance, watch this YouTube Video: "Coming to America - Legally:, and consider passing it on.
