I wasn’t necessarily talking about illegal immigrants. I was refuting your claim that they don’t draw welfare they work and work hard. I worked in the system and know how they draw benefits....whether they work or not.

It’s ironic, that if Obama actually does the executive amnesty thing, and with all those he’s allowing to come in and stay on his watch, it can be said that the first African-American president will have harmed those of his own race more than any other in modern times.
Residents wanting to stay here are supposed to show they have the ability to support themselves at 125% over poverty as to not go on government programs.
If the resident goes on some program they are null and void regarding their residency as it stands today from what I’ve read.

Census Bureau data reveals that most U.S. families headed by illegal immigrants use taxpayer-funded welfare programs on behalf of their American-born anchor babies. Even before the recession, immigrant households with children used welfare programs at consistently higher rates than natives, according to the extensive census data collected and analyzed by a nonpartisan Washington D.C. group dedicated to researching legal and illegal immigration in the U.S...The majority of households across the country benefitting from publicly-funded welfare programs are headed by immigrants, both legal and illegal. States where immigrant households with children have the highest welfare use rates are Arizona (62%), Texas, California and New York with 61% each and Pennsylvania (59%).
The study focused on eight major welfare programs that cost the government $517 billion the year they were examined. They include Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for the disabled, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), a nutritional program known as Women, Infants and Children (WIC), food stamps, free/reduced school lunch, public housing and health insurance for the poor (Medicaid).
Food assistance and Medicaid are the programs most commonly used by illegal immigrants, mainly on behalf of their American-born children who get automatic citizenship. On the other hand, legal immigrant households take advantage of every available welfare program, according to the study, which attributes it to low education level and resulting low income.
The highest rate of welfare recipients come from the Dominican Republic (82 %), Mexico and Guatemala (75%) and Ecuador (70%), according to the report, which says welfare use tends to be high for both new arrivals and established residents.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out we can’t continue the constant influx of illegals at the rate 0bama’s administration has allowed. In fact his policies have encouraged more illegals to come while he ties the hands of ICE and the Border Patrol to do their jobs.

Guess you haven’t been to any of the ER’s in NYC or LA recently. Or been to the town hall/school board meetings wondering how the hell they’re going to pay for the sudden need for bilingual teachers and other Federal requirements now that multitudes of illegal and unwanted invaders have been dropped off by unmarked buses. Do you understand Spanish - maybe you should listen to what the legals and illegals alike are being fed on a daily basis from the Gringo-hating race-baiting TV and radio stations? They’re not being told to study hard in school, stay out of trouble, work hard to learn of and achieve the American dream - it’s a little more sinister than that.

I don't know, probably not since I actually read the posts that I reply to. The meme is that illegals are coming here to glom onto all the wonderful benefits we hand out to the poor. I'm sure there's some somewhere who do, but most come to better their lives.
Again, my solution is to deport them. Amnesty has been tried, most couldn't be bothered to even file the first round of paperwork. Here's your bus ride to wherever you came from, or here's your boat to take you back wherever else in the world you came from, sorry for the cruddy accommodations, but it was likely much better than how you arrived here.
As for bilingual education? Again, tried, absolute failure, learn English. Even when put to a public vote, 65% of self identified hispanics said no to the idea in the liberal paradise of California.
My point was that we need to stop using empty arguments (OMG, they're going to steal our welfare!) and make the arguments based upon reality - they are line cutters who couldn't be bothered to seek permission to come to this great nation, and they're hogging up space that legitimate immigrants who do follow the system would use.
