Presumptive Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell welcomed new Senators-elect to his office Wednesday morning
“We're here to make the place function again and begin to make progress for the American people,” McConnell told reporters while flanked by the incoming lawmakers.
When asked if he expects to move to the middle as a means of working with Obama, McConnell explained that it is the president who appears to remain stuck on the opposite pole.
“The problem is the president continues to send signals that he has no intention of moving toward the middle,” he said.
McConnell referenced the White House’s new agreement with the Chinese to reduce emissions as a source of distress.
He said, as he sees it, the agreement requires "the Chinese to do nothing at all for 16 years while these carbon emission regulations are creating havoc in my state and other states around the country.”
Overall, he continued, he would like to see Obama moderate.
“I would welcome the president moving to the middle. I’ve said before I hope we can do some business on trade and maybe tax reform. First indications have not been very hopeful,” he said.
McConnell did offer some humor early in his remarks when he noted that the 2014 scene represented a “happier occasion” than 2006, when the class was “the president, secretary and treasurer” Sen. Bob Corker (TN-R).

So, the Ruling Class Oligarch now thinks that the election last week was all about “moderation”???? Getting the government to “come to the middle”???? To compromise???????
We warned those GOP Party hacks what McConnell and Boehner would do.
They kept insisting that we Conservatives had to “hold our nose and vote for them to save the country”.
As you are about to see, McConnell and the GOP Oligarchy will take us down Obama’s road to destruction in a ‘bipartisan’ manner.

Either McConnell has absolutely no clue what kind of a creature he is dealing with - or - McConnell will be COMPLICIT in aiding Obama’s “fundamental Transformation” of the country.

Obamacare will be self-destructing. McConnell will be a complete idiot if he tries to “ease the pain” as the law enters its death spiral and falls apart.
When Ted Cruz takes office in January 2017, he and a conservative Republican Congress can straighten out the mess.

He’s been described as off the charts brilliant and has argued more cases in front of the Supreme Court than anyone else in Congress.

We are talking about a President that can’t be relied upon to act within the limits of his constitutional duty and powers. Instead of saying that we talk about him as lacking in compromise?

The Republicans have submitted solutions for amnesty, Obmacare fixes along with many other issues that this country needs to address BUT Mr. Reed keeps them on his desk so the community organizer won't have to publicly veto them....If it isn't Socialist enough the C.O. flushes them away plus he has publicly denounced the Republicans so we know he wil he will veto anything from them ......his sudden interest in making a deal with China that hurts America coupled with his clarion call/announcement that global warming was America's biggest worry shows the world that this man and his mafioso czars and close advisers are our worst enemy plus why would anyone believe a word he says....this eagle (apologies to eagles) can't fly and we know why
