All other qualifications being equal, I would prefer a governor over a senator because of the executive experience.

In reality candidates for president don’t have the exact same qualifications, so being a senator or governor probably wouldn’t be a tie breaker.

Not to worry, the messenger is safe. However Perry is probably right. After all “The Best List” ain't exactly running over with best presidents that came directly to the Oval Office from the Senate. I think Obama, Kennedy and Harding are the only three that moved direct to the Presidency from the Senate. For damn sure no BEST on that list.

I believe the one person on the Gop- side who would cause more problems for the conservatives in 2015/2016 (like his dad) will be Paul from Kentucky. He will call out his dad’s little army. He doesn’t like Cruz. I have watched him flip flop back and forth to align on issues with McCain and Schumer. I hope he gets knocked out early.

Tory Democrat

A Tory Democrat, as I understand the term, is someone who supports traditional institutions, centralized government and concern for the less fortunate. Examples are Benjamin Disraeli and Winston Churchill.

Can you explain how Rick Perry could be called a Tory Democrat?

I agree with Perry even thou I like Ted Cruz no senator in american history has ever made a good President. Believe me ive looked them all up and all their presidency’s have been mediocre to bad. I think Senators bring with them legislative and pardon experience that greatly detracts from job as Cheif Exclusive over all theses united States.

For the record house members anrt much better. The best presidents either come from the outside or from the States, most commonly the Governors.

It will be the person that has a solid support from conservatives, independents, common sense Americans.

Which won't be 'LaRaza Rick' Perry.

Your absolute right im glad someone here has done the same research I have. No senator has ever made a good president. Something about the skill set and experience always makes them poor at the job.

> I certainly would support Cruz, but deep down I think he would do more good as Majority Leader, to keep the POTUS in line.

I think you are right and events seem to be lining up to suggest that may be what he wants as well.

if Obola carries out his threat to carry out illegal amnesty, Texas will be (is) on the ramparts of this invasion from Mexico. This puts Perry in a good position in a war against Obola in the forefront of the American people.

Are you implying that 'LaRaza Rick' Perry will suddenly (and finally) find the stones to stop the illegal invasion at the Texas/Mexico border?

I don't know that I'd believe it, even if I saw it.
