Jon Huntsman Sr.: Tea Party has ‘captivated and ruined’ the GOP
Washington Times ^ | 11/9/14 | Jessica Chasmar

Jon Huntsman Sr., father of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. and a self-described “lifelong Republican,” argued that the tea party has ruined the Republican Party, and that the GOP doesn’t stand a chance unless someone like his son is elected. “The tea party has completely captivated and ruined the Republican Party today and they’ll show this in 2016,” Huntsman Sr. said last week, Yahoo News reported. “Unless a Jeb Bush comes in or John Huntsman Jr., the Republicans don’t have a prayer.” The Chinjunior Mr. Huntsman, who unsuccessfully sought the GOP nomination in 2012, now serves as the U.S. ambassador to

Agree. However, permit me this minor clarification.

“It’s a mindset.” is a gross understatement.

It is everything our founding fathers believed in and fought to secure.

I am a native of Utah, families been there for a 170 years, me I live in New Hampshire. I have thousands of relatives most of whom are very conservative, I even have some Romney cousins.

I have never understood how this State produced so many blithering IDIOTs on the State and National level.

I remember the letter he wrote to Obama thanking him for his appointment. It was embarrassing how much he kissed up to Obama and to the Clintons.

Who Leaked Huntsman’s ‘Love Letter’ to Obama?
http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2011/04/15/who-leaked-huntsmans-love-letter-to-obama/
“A would-be GOP presidential candidate, in this case U.S. Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman, is caught red-handed sending gushing letters to the last two Democratic presidents.

In one, sent Aug. 10, 2009, Mr. Huntsman lauds President Bill Clinton for his “sense of history and brilliant analysis of world events.” He pours praise on his wife, Hillary Clinton, saying she “has even more charisma than her husband!”

In the second, written six days later, just as Mr. Huntsman was setting off for his post in Beijing, the former Utah governor thanks President Barack Obama for the appointment and for his “graciousness and kindness” towards the Huntsman family.

And then, with the key word underlined in bold, Mr. Huntsman praises Mr. Obama as “a remarkable leader.”

Hmmmm ..?? I have a slightly different take.

I believe this is just another attack upon Ted Cruz (having been supported by the Tea Party), and this foolishness is just another attempt to marginalize Ted Cruz, because of his relationship with the Tea Party.

All the elites who want to run for Pres .. will surely be unprepared to deal with Cruz’s exceptional debating skills and knowledge of the Constitution.

I believe the current elites see Cruz as a direct threat to their “group’s” livelihood .. poor things .. envy will destroy you.

I worry every 4 years, that it is people like this that pool money and finance candidates like McCain and Romney. You know JH and his pals will be rigging the process to nominate J. Bush in ‘16.

Lest we forget, Jon Huntsman is capable of kiss Obama’s behind in both English and Cantonese, with the appropriate regional accent.

It used to be you could count on most Mormons to be rock ribbed Republicans and conservatives. Not anymore. The Mormon community has become more and more feminized over the last 30-40 years. The only think that has stayed the same are the wealth and riches of this church. They own vast amounts of real estate such as shopping centers and other commercial real estate in the Salt lake City/Utah region, They are worth 30 billion on up (the Mormon church)

These days tons of Mormons are squishy soft liberal Democrats and Republicans

The whole purpose for the GOPe (or Group Of Pansies) is to block the doors from the party crashers (conservatives) and break up the commie/socialists/socialists lite party going on...

Little do they know that we have some chainsaws on the way.....commies first than the sympathizer turncoats next.

Huntsman is described as a “moderate”. To the liberal media, what is a moderate?

a) Someone who likes a moderate amount of Obamacare
b) Someone who likes border security on 50% of the border
c) Someone who isn’t sure about global warming either way, but is still willing to shut down coal plants
d) Someone who thinks voter integrity is important, but any kind of voter ID is still racist
e) Something else

Life as you know it, Mr. Huntsman, is over. Resistance is futile. We are the Conservatives.

I actually had expected Jon H. or one of his attractive daughters to be hired by MSNBC or maybe AL Jazeera

Actually his oldest daughter, Abby, is the token "Republican" on MSNBC's The Cycle. I haven't seen the show, but from what I've read she does a terrible job, not much between the ears and no critical thinking skills.

People don’t get that the Tea Party only wants the federal government to return to what the framers intended. It’s pretty simple. Back to the Constitution and the powers specified for DC, and let the states and individuals figure out what they want locally. What’s so wrong about that? Why do others think that letting Washington control our every move is a good thing? To quote the woman who bravely testified in the IRS hearings, we just want our government to “remember its place.”

I refrain from making jokes about Abby being on a show called “The Cycle”, as though it was MSNBC’s version of “the View;, because it may sound a little bit misogynist.
