Debbie Wasserman Schultz pledges party review
Politico ^ | 11/8/14 4:45 PM EST | ADAM SNEED |

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, announced Saturday that the party will conduct a full review of its poor performance in recent midterm elections.

In a video posted to YouTube, Wasserman Schultz said Democrats need to examine why their party suffered significant losses this year, costing them control of the Senate, and in 2010, when they lost control of the House. At the same time, Democrats have fared well in presidential election years, winning the White House and making gains in both chambers in 2008 and 2012.

“The electoral success we have when our presidential nominee is able to make the case to the country as a whole, doesn’t translate in other elections,” she said. “We are going to look at where we fell short. We’re going to identify our mistakes.”

The review is similar to the Republican Party’s so-called “autopsy” report after its losses in 2012. That 98-page report identified problems with the party’s image among voters and proposed several ideas to give the GOP a leg-up in future elections.

Wasserman Schultz has come under fire this year for her stewardship of the DNC. POLITICO reported in September that there was friction with the White House and congressional leaders, who said they had lost confidence in her as party chair.

Wasserman Schultz said she will name “key party stakeholders and experts” to a committee that will lead the review, and their report will be ready for the DNC’s winter meeting early next year.

“Finding real and lasting solutions to our midterm elections issues is critical to the success of the policies we care about, and the long-term strength of our party,” she said.

It should start with her resignation.

It should, but being as she presided over a blowout for the opposition, I hope she stays on.

As long as the Democrats don’t hire a genius like Ray Bliss or Lee Atwater.

Well, it might never occur to Ms. Wasserman-schultz that the once-great Democrat Party as steadily "progressed" farther and farther toward the radical left; and...

that there is much for every American to fear from them.

It certainly doesn't register with her that socialism (or worse) has never once worked; and, that everyone (meaning including the ruling party) hates their lives under tyranny.

People like freedom, and this means freedom to pursue happiness, to own property, to make decisions, and freedom from fear and terror.

One suspects, however that Ms WS will conclude that the Dems did not scare us enough and did not take away enough from producers to bribe non-producers w free stuff.

Socialism/Marxism/Communism is what they are and they are entirely dependent upon it. Without that ideology, they have nothing that can survive in the political arena.

“The electoral success we have when our presidential nominee is able to make the case to the country as a whole, doesn’t translate in other elections,” she said. “We are going to look at where we fell short. We’re going to identify our mistakes.”

I don’t believe it. Democrats don’t make mistakes. Democrats are liberal and have compassion for the poor and for women and homosexuals and every other conceivable grievance group and victim group out there. Considering their liberalism and compassion, how can there be mistakes to identify?

Their leader, Nancy Pelosi, said that the Dems. did poorly in this election cycle due to voter surpression.

Since Democrats couldn’t have made any mistakes, I suggest they move further left, to prove how liberal they are, and prove how much they believe in birth control and homosexuality and all that.

She only has to look at the president’s piss poor performance and outright lies and deception and fan out from there to all his minions. They don’t call him the Lyin King for nothin’. If she can’t figure it out in the first step, she needs a new less mentally challenging position...
