Jon Stewart ended his Democalypse 2014 midseason election coverage asking RNC chairman Reince Priebus what Republicans ran on, “other than ‘Obama is Stalin’ and ‘Ebola is going to kill your grandparents’.”
Priebus explained that, despite months of job growth, “they didn’t think he was leading abroad and he wasn’t engaging domestically. So some of the things that may have been happening in regard to jobs and the stock market, etc., people weren’t feeling that at home.”
In maybe the best live interview of election-night coverage on TV, Stewart wondered if Priebus was surprised if the Dems’ strategy for midterm elections was “curling up in a ball and hoping you didn’t kick them in the face too hard” and whether, after six years “in an oppositional position, trying to stop anything,” his members would have difficulty remembering how to “do things?

Priebus was hit hard here after the Romney debacle and made sure he didn’t screw up again.

Priebus is a country clubber and by all rights should have resigned after the skinny got re-elected, but to his credit contributed to a decisive RIGHT WING victory in the USA yesterday.
Kudos to the guy with the strange first name.
He screwed up going on this show. A Republican young entertainer should have gone.

And we wonder why Candy “and a Diet Coke to go with those three Big Macs” Crowley ends up moderating presidential debates.
“I think what we’re going to see is the president’s going to have to come to the table…You do need the president’s signature on a bill. We still need to do that,” Priebus said.
“Now I think we can box him in, and get this done.”
Stewart suggested Priebus learn Obama’s signature and “own the country.”
“Listen, if the night gets any better, maybe we can do that too,” Priebus joked.
Ed Gillespie ran on issues. He had very positive ads for the most part, but did have one or two that hung Obama around Warner’s neck. Look how well he did. Gillespie is set up very nicely to take a run at unseating McAuliffe.
The Dems screw up, and Stewart has to give it his best shot to insult the Republicans.
I don’t like Priebus or the GOPe, but their side won. Perhaps little Stewie could focus on the real problem for a change.
This guy is an absolute ignorant fool. If something big happens concerning Obola and he comes off as ignorant, Steward will go on a rant about Republicans to address it.
Listening to his show is like taking out a rusty razor blade to get the best shave ever. If you want comedy, this rusty blade is no way to find it.
Stewart is proof positive of an old theory of mine. I don’t care how big a fool you are, if they give you a time slot, some idiots out there will watch you. If they keep watching, it’s on them.
This is definitely on his dedicated audience.

Stewart is a failure. He couldn’t get the Leno or Letterman gigs. He is washed up and the first year college students have moved on.

VA Governors can’t run for a second consecutive term, so McAuliffe isn’t eligible to run again until 2021.

Priebus screwed up big time in 2012 and apparently learned how to win elections in 2014.
Doesn’t mean he’s still not of the political class in DC.
Just means the RNC is less incompetent.
