Right on, my friend:
In an episode in the fall of 1974, Archie endorses Republican candidate George Jefferson and Archie states that he is the only Republican in the household.

I’ll admit, I’m just a bit prone to malapropisms when I get really ticked off. . . but I’m still laughing my butt off at this girl.

Dang! My first car was a ‘63 Impala. It was a sickly shade of green, with a driver’s side window that wouldn’t roll up all the way; and whenever it rained, the car stalled at stoplights. (Of course, I proudly obtained possession of it in 1974...)
And that’s what I have to say about this thread....

I think some of us got ‘snookered’ on this :-)
I work every day, with late-teen to early-twenties kids. And it’s scary how many of them actually speak to political issues with the level of brainwashed ignorance that the “George Jefferson” girl did.
I think it’s been stated many times on FR that we’ve come to a sad pass when it’s difficult for sincere people to tell satire from fact.
(At any rate....I did love that clunky old green Impala :-)

George Jefferson? Let’s see... was Archie Bunker the vice president?

Oh, you are right! Thanks - I have one liberal niece and I swear she wears a headband like that girl - something so simple triggered in my brain that she was for real!
Even though I was "snookered" (good word) on this one, I stand by my statement that liberals really do feel entitled about their opinions and can't stand it when we aren't in lockstep! lol

Liberal chick is mocking liberals. If you go to her
facebook page and read the comments you will see this to the case.
Here are some other examples of her lambasting liberals:
I think she is pretty funny actually. Be sure to read some of the comments, you will then understand that she is really mocking liberal women in particular and liberals in general.

But ohhh so condescending!!!!

Whenever I see “Watters’ World” I try to tell myself that he picks the worst of the worst, to make the segment as funny as possible; and it can’t truly represent the reality.
Unfortunately, I’m never sure...
To: Impala64ssa
To be generous, maybe she is too young to have watched "The Jeffersons" or know that it was a spinoff from "All in the Family".
Are there any George Jefferson or Dr. Huxtable (Bill Cosby) characters on tv today?
