Quote from the author, circa 2008:

“Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment..”

Gov-elect Abbott said that he won 44% of the Hispanic vote; 50% of Hispanic male vote. And he wants to secure the border.

nothing but contempt, hostility and a derisive lack of a single fresh idea

Mark Morford must have been looking in the mirror when he strung together that phrase.

It precisely describes Morford himself.

The Dems are the party of the smart, the city, the college-educated, the critical thinker.

Haha...they can't be that smart if they don't even know that they're supposed to vote in a mid-term election.

“They barely won the Hispanic vote.”

Speaking of the Hispanic vote, did you know that the newly elected governor of Texas received 44% of the Hispanic vote? Of course, it helps that his wife will be the first Latina First Lady in Texas history, so I don’t know how many pols would have that advantage.

Haven't heard from Miss Morford in awhile. Can't say I've missed it much.

Aside from the same tired hate-filled screeching, this article really hasn't anything new to say. Yes, Markie, the Republicans are the very apotheosis of evil, everyone who is anyone knows that. We love you too, sweet pea. I will gently point out that anyone who feels compelled to repeat faithfully that he is smarter than the other fellow, isn't. And it shows.

“...fear-addled white conservatives who lack much in the way of critical thinking skills...”

Well, it looks like a brilliant, intellectual, really-really smart Progressive genius, who never invented anything, never found a cure for any disease, never found a way to improve the health of the population, who never wrote an uplifiting piece of literature, never founded a business that satisfied the needs of millions, has chosen to project his lack of critical thinking skills on
so-called white conservatives who have built businesses, raised families, served selflessly in military service, found cures for diseases, invented things that have made life easier, discovered new drugs to fight disease, written works that have informed and entertained millions and done a thousand things of which he hasn’t a even clue and who are deathly afraid of goose-stepping totalitarians like him who have threatened their way of life and who have shown a contempt for the Contstitution which many have sworn to uphold.

Such a bastion of brilliance should set out into the real world and make a go of adulthood.

IMHO

It’s remarkable. These libs have crashed from their 6-year Obama high and already gnashing their teeth like they did during GWB’s presidency.

Its funny considering conservatism wasn’t on the ballot.

I am not enamored of the GOP. Its a crude tool to stop Obama.

I have little respect for its so-called leaders.

Mark Morford has the right idea though - the American people don’t want what he wants.

If they had his party would still have owned the Senate last night.

See, the party’s most fatal flaw is also its most appealing trait: It lacks the murderous cruelty and savage bloodlust of the Republicans.

When I got to that part of the article I actually went back to the beginning to see if this was a satire article.
When I realized it was for real, I just shook my head. - Tom
