The buzz: Is Charlie Crist finished in politics?
Sun Sentinel ^ | 11/5/2014 | By Gary Stein

It is time for Charlie Crist to realize the simple truth:

He doesn’t inspire people to come out and vote.

Yes, he was once a popular governor of Florida. But times change, Crist changes, and the electorate changes.

And it is time for him to realize his political career, at least as an elected official, really doesn’t have much future.

He lost four years ago when he left the Republican Party and became an independent to run for U.S. Senate. Marco Rubio left him in his dust.

Tuesday night, against a vulnerable Gov. Rick Scott who not long ago was named the most unpopular governor in America, Crist had a chance to win back the state. He couldn’t do it.

Yes, you can blame South Florida Democrats, particularly those in Broward, for not getting out to vote. In an election this close, every vote was important.

You can blame Mitch Ceaser, head of the Broward Democratic Party, for not getting out more of the vote.

You can blame Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, for not getting out more Democrats, particularly nationally.

But the fact is, Crist has lost the ability to inspire.

He has a future...that future is to go back and work for the Ambulance Chaser law firm he was employed with before this election. He also did commercials for the firm :)

Charlie will be holding a press conference any day now to announce... that he’s now a Libertarian... and spearheading the efforts funded by his nominal boss and trial lawyer Bob Montgomery to get marijuana legalized in Florida.

Charlie sees no inconsistency in this with his previous elected office— the attorney general of Florida— because, well the law is whatever you say it is...dude (want a brownie?).

Although I had many ecstatic highs last night, I must honestly say that Charley The Loona's defeat gave me the most visceral satisfaction of all.

Being a Floridian, I would have had to live with that unstable, weirdo, amoral opportunist for four long years.

Thanks to all my Florida pals and fellow chapter members for their unrelenting campaign communication work and their getting-out-the-vote skills.

I'm lifting my sparkling glass of pure Florida orange juice on the rocks to y'all!

Just a guess...

Charlie divorces his wife, comes out of the closet and moves to Key West with his boyfriend.

Morgan and Morgan's new office will be next to Margaritaville.

Didn’t Tillis pull the same crap in NC? I can only surmise that the combination of ambition and corrupt big business contributors transformed a fairly conservative state politician into a RINO.

Did you see the guy on Bay News 9 last night quote the Democrat strategist who admitted even he didn’t vote for Crist because they don’t trust him?

I don’t think you’re far off with your prediction! His “marriage” was for political reasons. Nothing this turd does is for any reason other than political. He’s the consummate “political whore”!

No - he still needs to fail on the Green and Libertarian ballot lines

Yep, that pretty much would be 'hitting for the cycle.'
