I have never heard of anyone being fired for being gay. Never. Oh, but people have been fired who have incidentally been homosexual. And it HAS to be because of their sexuality, don't you know.

Uhh... sorry. But youre just wrong. I have several Macs. They never lock up, or freeze, or just shut down. Tim Cooks beliefs aside, Apple is (or has been) a fantastic incubator of innovation I'm forced to use them at church. One for our video broadcast (streaming over internet) and one for the in church video displays.
They both crash or (semi-crash*) routinely.
* I define a semi-crash as a temporary lock up that throws the video out of sync with the church service. If I cannot get my slides up in time for the music or the sermon, or if I have to wait for a video to play and it causes a noticeable delay, it's a semi-crash.

It might be just me, but I see no problem whatsoever with a private company firing someone because they are "gay".
(or black, or left handed or whatever other reason the owner decides. The first amendment guarantees our freedom to assemble. This includes the freedom to not assemble at all. All anti-discrimination laws are violations of the first amendment
Please note that it may be very stupid to fire somoene for such reasons, but there's no law against stupidity)

And you would find no disagreement with me. "Anti-discrimination" laws are the antithesis of constitutionally affirmed freedom, because the right of unfettered discrimination by private individuals is the epitome of freedom. It may be wrong, immoral, or stupid, but that's what it entails when someone's personal property (business), thoughts or speech are involved.

Tim Cook can still confess his sins, repent and accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. I'm glad you included "repent" in there, because that requirement is largely extinct in the modern brand of "Christianity."

I lived and worked in Texas about twenty years ago. The law at that time stated you could be fired for any reason or no reason.

Prove me wrong, then. Can't be done because you already know the truth, you just won't admit it. I would have more luck convincing Bob Beckel that he is wrong about something because facts never enter into the discussion, only objectives matter. What is your objective?
