Where have you gone, Barry Hope-and-change?
Barrone’s columns are posted on lots of sites. Slight variations on titles are normal, for all kinds of reasons.
But, But, Obola was suppose to be the Messiah.
It’s pretty much word-for-word like the other article, except the other one is shorter.
Well, except for the title variations, the other article is pretty much a shorter version of this one with a few wording changes on a couple of sentances. Just a general FYI...
There are idiots who still believe he is
I certainly don’t see Hillary generating any enthusiasm on the hard left side, just the big money old line Dems who supported her in 08. And the hard cores are likely the ones choosing the candidate. Mrs BJ looks burned out two years before the election, LOL.
Riiiight - Because Christians should vote *FOR* Mormon baby-killers who support homo-marriage...
And fiscal conservatives should vote *FOR* a big-spending Keyensian...
And defense conservatives should vote *FOR* a guy who has ZERO military service (even in hs entire family)...
And civil-libertarians should vote *FOR* a gun-grabber who is firmly against federalism and strict constructionism...
And Southerners should vote *FOR* a Yankee...
It happens all the time! What could have possibly gone wrong?
He says that fewer than three dozen Senate seats are up each election. This year is an exception--because of special elections there are exactly 36 seats at stake today. Usually it is 33 or 34.
“...he carried the very lowest and highest income and education groups’...”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
No question about the income groups but when it comes to education it should be noted that with every election the number of those who are actually educated continues to fall. Now it is a question of who holds the degrees which do not mean much where education is concerned. Someone who holds a degree in engineering, accounting etc. may be in the higher income group and may have a much higher marketable skill level but if you consider education to be separate from job training there are in fact fewer and fewer well educated people voting in every passing election. They may believe themselves to be well educated but very, very few are.
Lest anyone think I consider myself well educated, let me say I do not but what frightens me is that while I am a high school graduate with no college credits (although I did earn a Navy electronics certificate that is only job training) I am constantly seeing proof that most recent college graduates have only job training and as far as actual education is concerned most could not pass a test to enter high school as it existed fifty years ago, let alone graduate. Examples, a college educated pastor in his thirties taking about giving to the church asking, “Have you GAVE.” A man of 27 who majored in history who cannot name the only president of the CFA, has never heard of the Magna Charta or the battle of Hastings, cannot tell you when the American civil war was fought, has not even the vaguest concept of how our government is supposed to function and cannot quote one single word from Edgar Allan Poe. How about a set of the ten commandments embroidered on cloth hanging at the front of the church with the first commandment given as “Thou Shalt NOT have No other gods”? Keep eyes and ears open and you will read and hear errors that would have gotten a big red F for a sixth grader in my day, in advertising copy, on news reports, just about everywhere you go . REAL education appears to be vanishing from the life of this nation and is being replaced by job training and indoctrination in politically “correct” beliefs.
“Why treat democrats any different than the rest of the world?”

Indeed, the dim party and the dim voters mean nothing to Obama, they have only been a means to the end of “fundamentally changing” America which translates to destroying America. That goal seems to have been accomplished so what does it matter now, may as well live on the golf course.
Barone wasn’t the only only one who screwed up in 2012. They were counting on undecideds breaking last minute for Romney (they didn’t) and they were also counting on normal GOP turnout (millions stayed home because Romney didn’t sell them).
Honest mistake and Barone has owned up to it. He still knows his stuff. Check out his Almanac of American Politics sometime (it would take you a year to read and digest it).
In the Short-term, Obama has hurt his party, but Long-term he could leave it in great shape, especially if he gives millions of illegals legal standing in the USA so they can vote, and if more people get addicted to Obamacare. Obama is thinking Long-term.
Re: the headline. One can hope and pray it is so.
What could possibly go wrong? How about 8 years of obama?
The absurdity of your remark is astounding.
Barone didn’t account for fraud.
