...It is becoming clear that in minimizing racism, and in eradicating it from our lives, whites may have been acting largely alone, at least when one considers the enormity of the appeal to blacks to perpetuate racism toward whites, and the pervasiveness of that conviction in so many blacks who are given the soapbox of cable news.

Many whites are simply content to wash black fetuses down the toilet to fix race relations; whites on both sides now know the problem will never be resolved, and a new welfare class is being imported from south of the border to replace them.

Can’t say we didn’t try...

Like poverty, Dems never really wanted to eradicate racism. Racism would always be the stick Dems would use to beat Republicans over the head with. Just imagine...what use would the Dems be if people stood on their own two feet instead of relying on government?

No, Dems will never give up the racism and inequality trope...too much power and money in keeping their favored constituencies poor and ignorant.

All my life the Republican Party has been about content of character. And the Democratic Party has been, and is, about parochial interest - obscure it as they will.

And wire service journalism has been all about appearances - so Democrats and journalists have been simpatico all my life.

We who have never been racist, and who will still not be racist, are beginning to wonder why we shouldn’t adapt to this new reality [vis-a-vis race] and accept the fact that perhaps we are not all alike in our desire for peace, that we do not all want the same things, and that what is wanted from [whites] is our surrender and conviction for crimes we have not committed . . . Hearing ourselves slandered every day, we are forced to [recognize that those] who have worked against racial strife . . . are being blamed for it all.

I think I understand what the author means and agree but I would think other factors should be considered also.

  1. Celebrating 100 years!

“There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs. ~ Booker T. Washington (1856-1915.) ~ Educator, Author, Civil Rights Leader

  2. this advice from Abe.

You initiated a policy to tolerate the Marxist-Alinsky radicals and let them rant; not only has it not ceased but was constantly augmented by decades of infiltration and indoctrination. You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.

(The radicals are using race as a weapon.)

  3. Islamists recruiting Black Americans for cannon fodder
  4. more from Abe about him being on the other side in today's civil war.

I am not on the other side. It is as if the slave masters occupy Washington but we the people are the government.

Both parties deprecate war, but one of them would make war rather than let the Constitution survive, and the other would accept war rather than let it perish, and the war has come -- so far consisting of words only. The former is to reject inalienable rights and the latter is to live by inalienable rights.

To strengthen, perpetuate, and extend the former is the object for which the statists would rend the Republic even by actual war, while the Originalists claim no right to do more than to Constitutionally restrict the statists.

Using race to help "Bring it all down, man!" There were many on the left in the 50's, 60s' and 70's who tried hard to start a race war. I remember. But it seemed to me that the effort failed because the rest of us of all races realized that we were Americans first.
