Republicans and Democrats are deadlocked heading into Election Day, with 46 percent of likely voters preferring a Republican-controlled Congress, and 45 percent wanting a Democratic-controlled one, according to the final national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll before the election.

To put these numbers into perspective, Republicans held a six-point lead among nationwide likely voters (49 to 43 percent) right before the 2010 midterms, when the GOP picked up 63 House seats and six Senate seats.

So this is shaping up to a closer midterm election season, this polls finds.

My guess is that s/he is a phony Liberal troll. There are not many people who could be as stupid as atc23 appears to be.

My discussions last night and again this morning convince me that most comments, or at least the loudest comments, tend to come from the headline. This is true even when the headline belies the meat of the article or facts that are known to be true.

Yet, the FR addiction continues, and I keep coming back for one more fix...

:)

"....the individual state polling tells a slightly different story: Three new NBC/Marist polls also released this Sunday morning show Republicans with the advantage in Georgia, Kentucky and Louisiana, giving the GOP a clear path to a Senate majority next year.”

Yep. This headline was written and the poll conducted to encourage leeches and discourage Constitutionalists.

The poll margin of error in the 10 Senate Battleground States is +-5.9%. Interesting that it would end up that high.

I’m definately not some lib troll but I agree with the prediction. No takeover and some loss of seats in the house. I will be voting Republican on Tuesday as I have since Reagan but I don’t think it will matter. McConnell and the GOPe war on the Tea Party and the conservative base have guaranteed at least three to five or more percent are done with the party and will stay home. Take away 5% and it’s over before the voting even starts.

The headline did exactly what they hoped it would. Get us to read the article.

This is a generic poll. Generic polls are “I wish” polls. There is a big difference between “I wish” and I will go out and vote. So far the early voting everywhere show Democrats aren’t wishing THAT hard. This is a psy-ops poll designed to buck up Democrats.
