Denver Police say Paul Kitterman, 53, is safe after being located more than 110 miles away in Pueblo, Colorado
They are directing all questions about his disappearance to family

Stepson Jarod Tonneson, 21, went to the bathroom during halftime, but after returning to his seat his father never rejoined him

Denver Police have found the local dad who went missing five days ago, after leaving his adult stepson alone to use the bathroom at halftime. On Tuesday evening, around 10:50pm ET, the Denver Police Department tweeted that 53-year-old Paul Kitterman had been found alive more than 110 miles away in Pueblo, Colorado and that no foul play is suspected.

Pueblo Police said they found Kitterman coherent outside a Kmart store near Highway 50 and Elizabeth Street after a citizen spotted him, Fox Denver reports. He reportedly told police that he wanted to escape to some place warm. Police there said he appeared to be in good health, and has been put up in a hotel while he waits for family.

Calls to Kitterman's stepson and a friend who attended the game with him on Thursday were not immediately returned.

Kitterman was last seen on Thursday when his stepson left him at halftime to use the restroom. On Monday night, Denver police revealed that a witness saw Kitterman inside the stadium during the third quarter, but it remains unknown where the man went after the game.

Jarod Tonneson, Kitterman’s stepson, as well as his friends, have publicly criticized investigators for allegedly not doing enough to locate the missing man.

Either the guy has some mental issue, or he consumed a number of beers and got on bus with a bunch of people he was hanging out with.

I took care of an Alzheimer’s patient once. The family realized he needed care when he got in the car to go to the grocery store one day, and was found in another city 100 miles south, still trying to find the grocery store.

Hmmmm, you just step out the back Jack, make a new plan Stan. You don’t need to be coy, Roy, just listen to me.

Further down in article
>>According to his son, Paul had four or five beers in the course of a four-hour span, not enough to become disoriented.

If they were maybe 12 or 16 ounce or even 20, one per hour might not make him too intoxicated...though if it’s as many as 5, who knows.

He went out for a long pass and didn’t hear the whistle?

More likely he made a pass and the intended was receptive.

He’s only what? 53, and he may be experiencing early alzheimers or some other brain disorder. That’s very scary. From now on, the family knows that he just may up and disappear. One of the only times I would ever consider using a microchip in a person would be if I had a relative with alzheimers living with me, and this person had a compulsion to walk aimlessly and tirelessly outside the house. Perhaps not an embeded chip, but something attatched to their clothing or shoes.

The son said that’s what dad said to him. My humble guess is that it was double that or more. You just don’t disappear like this, without alcohol being the problem.

Years ago here in Germany...from the base, we had a bus of folks that went to a wine fest. The bus deal was to help everyone out in the end because they were going to be too intoxicated to drive. So they wrap up six hours, and get back to the bus. Here’s this stranger gal (an American) just weeping and crying....in a drunken state of mind...in the middle of the parking lot. She’d been so drunk, that she missed her bus. She didn’t have any more cash, and was in a mess. They took her along with them....back to the base, and someone later drove her back to the right Army post.

“Either the guy has some mental issue, or he consumed a number of beers....”

Probably the only sane person left in Colorado and just
wanted out.

You know....this would make a great movie.

Lonely Broncos guy goes to a Broncos-Cowboys game...consumes a dozen beers, twelve shots of something, and smokes a bit of weed....bumps into drunk Cowboys gal. Neither is coherent....neither knows the score to the game or end-results. They stumble around to her car.....end up getting accidentally married while drunk, and then wake the next day to realize that Cowboys clobbered Broncos 66 to 7.
