Crossroads GPS, the conservative nonprofit group founded by GOP strategist Karl Rove, has run similar ads against North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan (D), Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor (D) and Rep. Scott Peters (D-Calif.). Crossroads accused Hagan of supporting a “controversial plan” that “raises the retirement age.” [...]

It’s nutty to talk about cutting SS when welfare has been expanded willy nilly. Romney’s inexplicable choice of SS cutter Paul Ryan was probably the reason he lost the election.

The entitlement programs are the biggest drivers of our debt. SS has been running in the red since 2010 and Medicare since 2008. 40% of Medicare spending comes from the General Fund. If not reformed, Medicare alone will consume the entire federal budget.

None of the Reps are talking about entitlement reform for fear of losing votes. The longer the political class delays entitlement reform, the more painful the decisions will become.

The GOP hates our guts. They’d have hated The Framers.

STOP VOTING FOR NON-TEA PARTY CANDIDATES.

However, there are those here at FR that will tell you voting Republican is our only hope against Barry. I dont see how that could be since theres no substantive difference between Dem & Republican.

One mild caution - beware of anything funded by Rove and printed in the WaPo that pops up one week prior to the election. Just sayin’.

I have often posted that if Rove isn’t being paid millions by the DNC, shame on him.

Democrats accuse republicans of it all the time because they know it hurts republicans. Doing what democrats accuse us off is a sure fire loser.

Social Security does need to be cut but it has to be drawn down over a period of years. Maybe replace it with some kind of untouchable savings account for new people working in the workforce.

I would've laughed at your assessment at the time as "tin foil hat" stuff."

After Paul Ryan managed to lose a debate to Joe Biden, I would've agreed with you.
