The Wendy Davis "miracle"

Posted on 10/28/2014 7:45:46 AM PDT by wrhssaxensemble

I get the power of hype (and demographic changes broadly) but why is it that so many people seem to be cedeing to the "fact" that Wendy Davis' campaign is somehow changing the face of Texas?

I mean right now RCP averages have her down by 14.2% which is including the Lyceum poll which has been discredited by other pollsters. It also does not show the fact that the more recent polls have her falling even further behind (one pull currently has her 20% behind Abbott). But let's be conservative and say she is currently 15% behind Abbott. I've already seen some on the left claim that if this is the margin of victory, it is some huge success for progressives in Texas. But how?

5% is pathetic when you compare to prior gubernatorial elections. If you look at the percentage margin in every race for TX governor since 1978 (and their respective parties), you find the following:

1978: 0.8% GOP (Clements) 1982: 7.3% Dem (White) 1986: 6.7% GOP (Clements) 1990: 2.6% Dem (Richards) 1994: 7.6% GOP (Bush) 1998: 37% GOP (Bush) 2002: 17.8% GOP (Perry) 2006: 9.2% GOP (Perry) 2010: 12.7% GOP (Perry)

So 15% (and it is likely going to be closer to 20%) would seem to indicate (other than in 1998 or 2002) she is one of the weakest candidates put up by the Democrats for governor in at least 36 years......

Today we have rampant vote fraud, so maybe those percentages are within the margin of cheating. It could also be wishful thinking. It’s not like she’s a pioneer... We’ve had pro-abortion Ann Richards, whose daughter is a planned parenthood boss. I’ve also received campaign cards in the mail for Davis with the message in Spanish that said republicans are racists. There are a lot of illegals here and I’m sure she wants their illegal votes.

The stench of Democrat, Wendy “Abortion Barbie” Davis, will linger for years in Texas.

Early in his Presidency, Obama suggested that Texas could be converted to a blue state much sooner than people think.

I’m pretty sure that is part of the goal for Executive amnesty, i.e. flooding Texas with 3 million grateful socialists who will always vote for the socialist demagogue Democrat).

So the commies are just fantasizing about how close they are to permanent one party rule (like they have in Latin America).

It’s just their narrative to keep people excited. A double digit loss in the high teen’s is a disaster of a campaign. Where the real hurt will be is in the demographics of female voters and Hispanic voters. the RATS are literally trying to put perfume on a pig in this race.

Texas Dems have put forth some realy loony tune broads to run for governor.

A few years back we had Carole Keeton Rylander McClellan One Tough Grandma Strayhorn Etc. to run. She was one of them Austin Elite radicals who had 6 last names and zero chances of winning. Seriously - she actually demanded election officials put “One Tough Grandma” on the Ballots.

Before that mess, there was the ultimate loony tune - Ann Ma Richards. “Purrr George. He Caint hep it. He wuz born wif a silver spoon in his mouf.

Now we have a broad who’s only accomplishments are lies and one abortion speech some years back.

she is the chosen one. she was anointed by the MSM and the high priests and priestesses of the liberal intelligentsia. she cannot completely fail, for then she will have existed for no reason. that can’t be allowed to happen, because the high priests and priestesses will then have proven to be fallible, and then their universe collapses.

She disgusts me - I'm so ready for this election cycle to end so I don't have to see that growth on her face constantly (reminds me of bammers - get that thing taken off, it is easy and your insurance will pay for it!).

Besides, all I can think of when I see her or hear her name is all the murderers who are too lazy to use birth control, or self control, going to other murderers to snuff out the life of an innocent child.

Sometimes the media is able to gin up a boggart out of thin air. They can make something appear just by telling everyone to look at it.

Like during the elder Bush's Administration, they declared a minor economic down tick "the worst economic crisis since the depression!". A few years later, the same economic numbers were known as the "Clinton recovery."

They thought by declaring Wendy Davis a beloved leftwing wonderkind they could make it so. It failed.

Mostly because the creepy stupid loser kept pulling off her "popular lovable genius" mask and showing her real face.

They'll kick her aside next week and move on to another project.

My favorite is a new commercial she has out plugging her education plan. One point really cracks me up:

“Education is the only thing that got me from a trailer to where I am today” (paraphrasing but that is the same content)

Yeah, solely education. It had nothing to do with using people including basically treating your exhusband as some bank account with an infinite amount of money until your law school debts were paid then quickly kicking him to the side....

Early in his Presidency, Obama suggested that Texas could be converted to a blue state much sooner than people think.

When he expected his policies could hurt Texas so bad our economy would tank.

Directional Drilling, Hydraulic Fracturing, Private Ownership of Minerals and a positive business climate in the state overcome his attempts to hold Texas down. We don't need the government to support us; we need the feds to just get out of the way.

“...the “fact” that Wendy Davis’ campaign is somehow changing the face of Texas?...”

It has changed to one of laughter. Yes, we are laughing our asses off at the democrats for choosing their weakest gubernatorial candidate. They overlooked their best and most viable moderate candidates in favor of this lying controversial b*tch. Remember in Texas, it takes a really good liar to get elected, and she ain’t even close to an Anne Richards.

Now, the race is on to increase her poll numbers to a respectable percentage to keep face nationally. Without the anticipated voter fraud (voter-id was reinstated) to boost her numbers, I don’t think she’s going to make it close. Not many smiles on the liberals and out-of-staters faces over at Battleground Texas. A lot of money and time have been spent on this fiasco.

As to her political future, look for her to move to Californica where she will be appreciated by liberal leftists and run for a senate seat there. Time will tell, even they may not want her.

he was her live in Nanny for three years

Then after the divorce, the kids stayed with him, not her.

She also has a spot about crowded classrooms. I’m wondering how many of those students are illegals. And how many have been recently imported by her party in DC to help crash the system - schools, hospitals, social services, law enforcement, and of course elections.

Thankfully, I was asked for my ID at the polling location yesterday - small victory I guess.

She is going to get crushed by 20pts.

Report in Houston Chronicle noted that early voting (discounting mail in votes) was down by 33% compared to 2010.
